  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 06:35 PM) So if Lovie would have waited 2 more plays and Hanie eventually got hurt, he could have put Collins back into the game instead of running a wildcat or having Earl Bennett QB. Seeing what I've seen of Collins, the latter was the better option. You do have a point. But hypothetically say that Cutler feels better in the 4th and can come back. Then what Lovie did with Hanie would have looked pretty bad. Sure, the move didn't cost them the game or anything, but it's something you expect an NFL coach to know and utilize.
  2. What made it look bad was that Cutler was walking and standing. Had he been sitting, the criticism would be a lot softer.
  3. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 06:18 PM) Cutler took himself out. Are you seriously saying lovie shouldve risked collins throwing an int? The.bears had no chance with collins. Props for lovie recognizing that early enough No, that's not what I'm saying at all. Had he put kept Collins in for two more plays, and put Hanie in in the 4th, he could have had a backup to Hanie in case he got hurt. It's bad coaching when you forget about a rule like that. Especially when all they did was run the ball two times with Hanie in there for the 3rd anyways.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 05:54 PM) But Collins should have never been listed as #2 qb after that Panthers game. Nor should have Lovie put in Hanie in the third quarter. He should have known the rule.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 05:24 PM) Well said! Huge mistake by Bears putting Collins 2nd on the depth chart. There's also a part of me that wonders if Cutler was injured coming into the game. He seemed just a step slow all game, and not comfortable at all pushing off his back foot. Even the announcers were saying he looked off during warm-ups. I would also wonder a bit. The way he ran around made it seem like he wasn't healthy.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 05:20 PM) The Packers did the same exact thing on multiple occasions. Both coaching staffs were extremely conservative in their decision making. When the Packers did it, they were up by two TDs. The Bears did it down by one and then two scores. I can understand the first one, but the second one was downright stupid. Especially since the net was like 20 yards on the punt.
  7. You just know there will be idiots advocating Hanie over Cutler. The only thing this game proved was that Hanie is the real backup caliber QB. Not Todd Collins.
  8. Those two punts in place of FG attempts really screwed this team.
  9. That call was utterly pathetic.
  10. Will this be the game known for the legend of Caleb Hanie?
  11. Game's over. Todd Collins, oh god.
  12. Cutler's knee is banged up. s***
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) Like somebody else said, this has the feeling of a 30-0 rout. Yet we're down 14 with a whole half to go. We can do this. When J4L posts something positive like this, you know something good might happen.
  14. They gotta come out in the second half patient. Cutler's not gonna do any better if they just throw it on almost every down.
  15. What the hell is Lovie doing? You don't play conservative when you're down 14.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 01:02 PM) Just thought I'd re-post my very drunken mass text that I sent out last night, since it has to do with baseball..... "Minnesora gwins are like yhe kids tgar eat crayons thei whole life and tgen get in to harvard" "Got my drunk text on"
  17. QUOTE (beautox @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 02:16 AM) I personally feel that the Rays and Jays will be sitting atop the east when the season ends. I'm not confident in Boston's rotation as both the rays and jays have supeior pitching and depth. I seriously feel unless cashman Hal burns through the yankee's farm system for some legit pitching, it won't matter who they hand the games over to in the 7-9th. Wow, really? If that's the case, you might as well put the Orioles in the mix. I mean, I like what AA has done with that team, but they're just not on the same level as Boston or NY.
  18. Finally, Ozzie says something that makes a good deal of sense regarding the lineup.
  19. Dead Space scared the living crap out of me and my friends. I would love to have the ability to sleep after playing through it, but I think I'll be good. In the time I did play it, I did enjoy it and I've read the synopsis of the story and found it pretty interesting. I think it's just best to say I don't like horror games too much. I'm fine with the Resident Evils with the world, but Dead Space is on another level.

    Happy birthday!
  21. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 22, 2011 -> 10:54 PM) wow That's a bit too much.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 22, 2011 -> 08:35 PM) Byron Scott has to be thinking, "WHat the hell have I gotten myself into?" I think of this every time I see the Cavs play. Byron must hate LeBron more than the average person does.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jan 22, 2011 -> 03:50 PM) I don't think Ozzie has any business telling his son who he can and cannot date. My point was that Ozzie is the enabler here. He is well aware of his son's antics and he has all the power necessary to keep him away from work-related events. If Ozzie managed an Applebees there would be no reason for his son to be there. Same thing here, no reason for him to be there. Yet Ozzie is allowing it even though he knows it may lead to more s*** from Oney. And I'm sure I'll come off as misogynistic here, but a man is supposed to keep tabs on his woman if she's capable of flying off the handle like that. Something tells me Oney isn't man enough to do that, and that if anything he probably encourages her behavior. And actually, I would imagine the girl controls him if anything. Nobody with a sac follows his dad around like a lost puppy and only breaks the umbilical when he wants to go out and spend his money. I'm an Ozzie fan and I just wish he'd cut the s*** already. I definitely agree with this sentiment. The reason why Oney is such a douche is probably because Ozzie has allowed him to be throughout his childhood. Sure, Ozzie probably can't tell Oney what to do now since Oney is technically an adult, but the fact that he is in this current idiotic form has to be part of Ozzie's doing. Denying this notion is like saying that the drug dealer, whose parents also deal drugs, was not influenced by his/her parents' actions at all.
