Great drive. With the way the defense has been playing, our changes of winning this game are pretty high.

Another FG, gotta come away with at least one touchdown to win this thing.

Very similar play to the Cutler pick. This one might get overturned though. Ball was moving a little bit.

Sox looking at Johnny Damon as well
I don't know how Damon would really work on this team in its current form. He can't play LF or CF, those are occupied already. He'd only be useful as a DH and he did not produce anywhere near what a DH should have last year. He'd fit in real well as a #3 hitter behind Beckham and ahead of whoever bats 4th, but I feel like he has to play a defensive position (RF isn't really an option).

I'm so scared when Cutler decides to run tough like that. We can't have him separate his shoulder or break his arm. We'd be completely screwed for the next year or two.

Phils Interested in TCQ?
Moving Quentin for nothing would be bad. I don't even want to move him for Ibanez. Ibanez at DH won't put up better numbers than Quentin at DH. Plus, with Quentin, you get up-side. Ibanez is almost 40. If you trade Quentin, it better be for somebody useful in the outfield - like Victorino (not happening though).

White Sox sign 3B Dallas McPherson
He's one of those AAAA players. The Angels are responsible for both him and Brandon Wood. How unfortunate.

I'd like to get Shane Victorino back, but that's not happening...

Manny wants "Vlad-like" deal
$5.5 million for Manny would be awesome. I'd do it, but the bad thing is that Quentin would have to play RF.

Video Game Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 15, 2010 -> 10:37 AM) The only problem with Nuketown is the respawn patterns, where you usually respawn right next to someone from the other team. Other than that, it's a fantastic small map. Jungle is the worst. I f***ing despise Cracked, there's so many hiding spots that you don't know what hit you most of the time. Especially if you join in the middle of the game and the other team is raping the team you got dropped on. I've tried using the tactical respawn point at Nuketown to respawn at the other team's base after I die. It hasn't worked too well so far. Great thing about Nuketown is that it's so small, you can put a Napalm strike anywhere and you'd get a good amount of people.

I've only used the AK74u a couple of times. My roommate (who plays splitscreen with me online at times) uses it a lot. I prefer assault rifles, currently using the AUG. I'd like to unlock the Commando soon (that's at level 44 unfortunately), that was my favorite gun in the campaign.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 14, 2010 -> 03:39 PM) If there was a stat for "Interceptions Caused" then I'd wager that Johnny Knox would be leading the NFL in it and probably led last year too. That first one by Cutler today was definitely on Knox. That ball was on his hands.

Who is going to be our best starter next season?
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 11, 2010 -> 02:52 PM) Am I the only one that feels Danks has hit his ceiling? Not saying that's a bad thing. But it seems for the last couple years he was expected to have that 'dominant' season which vaults him into the elite. He's been roughly the same pitcher for the last three years. He's inconsistent, that's his problem. He just has those days where he can't find the change-up and ends up giving up 5 or 6 runs. His ERA was around 3.2-3.3 until late in the season, where it rose to 3.7. His FIP was substantially better this year than it was last year though, he's cutting down on the home runs and fly balls.

I'm just going to throw this out there for the lulz - Edwin Jackson. If he pitches like he did in August, I might actually be right.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 14, 2010 -> 03:25 PM) Don't look now, but the O-line is giving some decent pass protection. Jamarcus Webb still got owned a decent amount of times by Ray Edwards. Cutler's making it easier on the o-line by using his feet a lot more though. Surprisingly, the running game was over the century mark today.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 14, 2010 -> 03:18 PM) That play was crazy. The defender literally swatted it down with two hands... straight to the Jags receiver waiting for the ball. Reminds me of a Madden game I played a week or two ago. Dolphins defender swatted it down, but right to Braylon Edwards, who then got tackled into the end zone. I was so shocked that I forgot to move after Edwards caught the ball. Good thing the play happened right next to the end zone.
