  1. It’s actually the opposite. The new Pohlad owner wants to win without spending anymore money and the baseball people know it isn’t possible. Falvey got out before he could ultimately get fired.
  2. They aren't trading one of their core young guys to my knowledge. I also have no idea if a deal is actually close. I just know that they've talked to Boston. I wouldn't really consider it to be major though. The poster earlier could be referencing something else.
  3. They were both similarly ranked players out of high school.
  4. Not Quero or anyone that significant. Read the article from McCaffrey at The Athletic. She just posted something about what the Red Sox are up to.
  5. Boston is the right team from what I've heard. Can't share much more than that.
  6. I wouldn't. Cholowsky is a no doubt shortstop and I don't think Bonemer stays there.
  7. Definitely ongoing talks. Not sure how major it’d be considered though.
  8. The Sox have nothing on the books going forward. If Murakami is good, I don’t see any reason why they couldn’t sign him. It’s still a 1B/DH. You’re looking at inflation on a deal like Pete Alonso possibly. I think Sox will do stuff like that from 2028 on etc.
  9. Yeah because he’s a shortstop and he’ll play every day. Shortstops like this don’t end up in college.
  10. I’m thinking 3B or outfield is more likely than 2B for Bonemer.
  11. Who is this in reference to? I do think Cholowsky is the best college shortstop since Tulowitzki.
  12. Keith Law just had a pretty glowing write-up on Hagen Smith. Towards the end of the season, he looked like the guy from Arkansas. Noah Schultz was pitching injured all year. Both still have top of the rotation upside and should be in the majors by Juneish. Tanner McDougal has ridiculous stuff and he's basically big league ready as well. Christian Oppor isn't far behind. The Sox also have back end options throughout the system and Ky Bush, Mason Adams, Drew Thorpe should all be options by midseason. They'll likely need to spend on pitching at some point but they have some pretty high upside dudes. It's a big year for them.
  13. This isn't true at all.
  14. Much sooner for Braden imo.
  15. Santos, Houser and Robert trades are all fine imo. Fedde/Kopech wasn't great, Cease was bad.
  16. There's nowhere for prep guys to play anymore. Rookie ball is over and these kids aren't ready to go straight to Low-A. They played games in Arizona. We just don't know about them.
  17. Could have 4 in big leagues plus Antonacci all the year Oh man I’ve been the opposite. Love him. He’ll be a top 50 at midseason
  18. I’ve often argued that there was no way they should’ve traded Robert that offseason. Coming off a career year with 4 years of control, there’s no way they would’ve gotten a return good enough to actually move him. 100%. Truman Pauley was a 6th round value. Sox probably just chose a couple other guys instead.
  19. You run the risk of getting even less than this. Rental bats bring back nothing at the deadline.
  20. This is easy. Robert won’t be on the next good Sox team. Acuna and Pauley might be. It’s that simple for me. No brainer.
  21. Luis Robert won't be on the next good White Sox team. Acuna and Pauley might be. It's basically that simple. The league just told you what Robert is worth. Holding him into the season would be insane. He'll be hurt again. He's unreliable and I'm glad it's over.
  22. Here’s my write up on the class: https://www.futuresox.net/2026/01/17/white-sox-ink-18-player-class-to-open/
  23. Paddy? Def. Sox have spent entire pool basically.
  24. I have the White Sox right at $6.6 million spent so far.
  25. Sox have like $6.1 million accounted for
