Reports seem to indicate that Sosa won't stay at SS either and he's gonna need to hit a lot. He'll be back on at midseason. We don't rank after 30 but I'd guess Sosa and Weaver were the next guys on

Last week, I would've said no chance. Now I'm leaning towards him making the opening day roster.

I just don’t think it’s realistic to leave him down that long. They have 5 years of control. Getting another year would entail a June debut. They aren’t waiting that long.

They were only showing 6 before Covid was a thing last year as well

I'm hoping the White Sox finally take the plunge again on a prep position player at 22. They've been all over multiple guys.

1. Norge Vera hasn't signed officially. I've been told that it should be any day now but I was told the same thing last week. It'll happen at some point. 2. Cespedes is probably looking for a big league deal and I'm not sure anyone has that for him at this rate. I connected the agency to the Sox but they'd probably only be interested on a minors deal. 3. MLB Pipeline made him the #1 international prospect and it's probably not fair to the kid. He's safe in a sense that he's the closest guy to the majors. Many of the 16-year-olds who were signed have significantly more upside though and I'd rank many of them higher. Marco Paddy is one of the better international scouts in the business. He has Jose Abreu, Luis Robert and Fernando Tatis Jr on his ledger. Jerry Reinsdorf hates paying amateur talent so there's a question on Sox strategy. Does Paddy not have the relationships with trainers to land the top end teenage Dominicans or is Jerry opposed to giving $2-$5 million to 16-year-olds and they don't even bother? When in doubt, I blame Reinsdorf.

Fegan says Kelley and Cespedes are reporting to Arizona for a minor league mini-camp but aren't part of ST roster

I can't see any way that Jared Kelley would be invited to big league spring training. That doesn't make much sense.

Do you think 7 AL teams should have higher median outcomes than the White Sox? Hendriks is a big upgrade on Colome. It’s not just about the ninth inning. Hendriks put up a 4 fWAR season in 2019. Multi inning weapon capable of 3 wins as a reliever. Lynn is exactly what they needed. Some areas of possible regression but lots more of significant upside. ALC will be a battle with Twins and Sox but the Sox are one of the top teams in the AL. Covid and no minors basically tainted the data sample so the Pecota projections are pretty much useless for a team with as much potential variance as White Sox. I think Vegas is more in line with what’s expected and those who agree with Pecota should be running to pound the under at betting sites

Angels, Indians and Astros for sure.

Project whatever win/loss record you'd like. There shouldn't be 7 AL clubs projected to have a better median record.

Projection systems that have the White Sox as the 8th best team in the AL can be disregarded. What a bunch of nonsense.

Rodon is on the team. That’s 5 starters. 8 relievers easily. If Folty struggles, he’s out of options. Cant be sent down. It’s just not realistic on a big league deal. Not here.

They couldn't though really. He can't be optioned. Who would be on the roster instead of?

Probably still starting I'd imagine. I think Bilous is too but we put him with relievers. Probably in Winston-Salem. Isaiah Carranza is interesting as well
