Without any trades, I'd say the rotation has the most potential need for reinforcements. That makes Fulmer & Lopez the likely favorites IMO.

And I've already said on the FS forum that I hope Cooper gets an opportunity this year. He's simply not ready for that opportunity just yet and either are Lopez, Fulmer, or even Danish. I wish we had something better than Covey to throw out there every five days, but I'm not rushing any prospect with legit major league upside because I tired of watching the incumbent suck balls during a rebuilding season.

Regarding Lopez, any chance his control problems have been related to working on his cutter? He mentioned in spring training that was something he was focusing on.

IMO, we break-even on the trade if we end up with a #3 type starter and a high leverage reliever. Anything more than that is a clear win for us. Obviously I wish Giolito was doing better out of the gate, but I'm giving it him a few months before I start to panic. Restoring his mechanics was always going to be a painful process and we're seeing that now.
