  1. Well this would be good news…hopefully your theories are correct
  2. Luckily he’s already got one on the roster in Gavin Sheets ?
  3. Sorry, I’d assume Eloy in LF and Micker at DH. Tony is going to let the vet play in the field on OF if I had to guess.
  4. I’m assuming Rodriguez gets the start, but haven’t seen anything official.
  5. So assuming Vaughn is out, what do you guys expect the Opening Day lineup to be? Here’s my guess: Legend, RF# Robert, CF Abreu, 1B Grandal, C# Jimenez, RF Moncada, 3B# Big Energy, 2B Adolfo, DH Mendick, SS
  6. That’s because projections don’t know how to account for last year. Realistically, those systems are saying it’s a 50% chance he’s the 3.5 to 4 win guy from 2017 to 2020 and a 50% chance he’s the shit player from last year. The 2.2 fWAR projection is more or less a weighted average of those two possible outcomes. So again, you got to decide which version of Conforto you are going to get. Personally, I’m going to blame 2021 on a hamstring injury and assumes returns to form.
  7. A dislocation requires immediate action, so I seriously doubt they would call it “right hip discomfort”.
  8. Conforto was basically a 4 win player from 2017 to 2020. If people want to overreact to a bad 2021 season that’s fine, but let’s not ignore his track record and say he was an average player.
  9. In what world is Conforto a “slightly above average” player?
  10. Anyone got any theories on kind of hip injury this could be? I would recommend not googling Cody Ross if you want to avoid the worst case scenarios coming to mind.
  11. Personally I’d rather see him back there than Collins
  12. I can’t believe Leury Garcia is going to be our everyday RF for a period of time.
  13. Certain Sox fans don’t like him because he lacks emotion & fire, so they pick apart his weaknesses and ignore his strengths. The reality is that if the power ever comes, he one of the elite players in baseball. If not, he’s simply a really good player.
  14. You’re probably right, which means we’re likely screwed
  15. Need to move Kimbrel first before Conforto would even be a possibility IMO
  16. He got up without any problems though and was able to stand on his own. Just seemed like he had discomfort when he moved / rotated his hip. I’m hoping for the best here, but another would be smart either way.
  17. Depends on how serious Vaughn’s injury is, but they should have acquired a legit RF before this happened.
  18. Oh really?? Where are you seeing this?
  19. He’s our last Twitter insider left, so that’s got to be worth something.
  20. Has Engel even played yet? Isn’t he still recovering from offseason surgery? Leury will basically be the full-time starter in RF in the short-run if Vaughn is out for an extended amount of time.
