I think you’re overlooking that epic KW-Bryce head knod mid meeting. Dude was all in on the Sox if he had the money.

You mean during spring training games?

Who is your top 2019-20 free agent target
Chicago White Sox replied to JUSTgottaBELIEVE's topic in Pale Hose Talk
And it won’t get any better when you have to watch Jon Jay & Yonder Alonso in the starting lineup most days. -
Probably yeah, along with the added benefit of potential leverage with Machado. I don’t believe the Sox were ever serious about Bryce.

2018-9 MLB off season free agency thread
Chicago White Sox replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Honestly, I was prepared to offer him like $4M or $5M on a one year deal. His work with the young pitchers would have been worth it alone. But alas, we get to enjoy James “negative WARP” McCann for the same exact price. -
Shit, we already have two beat writers as it is. Wouldn’t want the clubhouse to be overflowing with media types after each game, that could really distract the team and limit our chances of winning the division next year.
-
And I will guarantee at some point this offseason KW or Hahn said (or at the very minimum thought) “lol...I’m not paying $300M for Harper when we have all these great OF prospects”. IMO, the Harper chase was simply a front to put some pressure on Machado, which is a shame since we’re seeing how Bryce’s drawing power could have greatly benefited the organization. Absolutely mind-boggling we never made an offer.

It’s almost like investing in a legit star player would have partially paid for itself ?

To each their own...but I’m just shocked people in this day & age can believe this nonsense. -

Chicago White Sox replied to JUSTgottaBELIEVE's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Lol...we didn’t miss out on any free agents because we were a 90 loss team, we lost out because we weren’t willing to pay market prices for stars. That’s a far worse problem too. -

All of a sudden I want to sign Kimbrel
Chicago White Sox replied to Jerksticks's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yeah, it’s been a rough one, but least Hahn has already applauded himself for a succesful offseason. -

Chicago White Sox replied to Jerksticks's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sure, but we already have those guys and Kimbrel will cost a high 2nd round pick and a ton of money. At this point it’s simply not an option. -
It does seem like we’re in a great spot. I’m still hoping somehow Witt goes #1, Vaughn goes #2, and Adley falls to us at #3, but I’ll seriously be happy with any of those three guys (or Abrams). I will be pissed if Adley & Vaughn are gone and we refuse to go with a HS pick.

Is this on TV or Webcast at all?

All of a sudden I want to sign Kimbrel
Chicago White Sox replied to Jerksticks's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yup, plus it takes away from Colome & Herrera’s value. The plan should be to run those guys out in the 9th and build up trade interest in them. Honestly, the bullpen is the last place we should be looking to address right now. -
Jerry, KW, & Hahn Kill SouthSideSox (sorta)
Chicago White Sox replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Fully agree, although it does seem like the fan community there is still pretty large. Gamethreads there typically have a ton more coverage than SoxMachine for example. -
Just saw this post on SouthSideSox. Not a huge fan of their coverage since Jim left, but it’s a Sox site nonetheless and it’s sad to see our incompetent front office slowly destroy any and all fan interest. Hopefully they’re able to find the support to keep the site up and running, but that may prove tough given where emotions stand at the moment. https://www.southsidesox.com/2019/3/6/18241067/south-side-sox-needs-your-help

Honestly, probably an experienced TOR and proven middle of the order of the bat (regardless of spot). Plus while I’m willing to give Collins a year to prove himself, catcher could become a clear need. Give me Verlander, Martinez, & Grandal and I’d be a happy camper.

This isn’t even about views. I could care less if he’s accepting of homosexuality or not in all honesty. But I do have a problem when others feel compelled to force others to accept their views. If someone wants to be gay, it has no bearing on this person’s life. The problem with religious zealots is they try to force their narrow minded views on others. By all means live your life by your own moral convictions, but please allow others to do the same if they do not impact your direct well-being. -

No one is asking you to support “gay pride” day. You can literally pretend it doesn’t exist and watch as it literally has no impact on your life. But instead, you must compare being gay to cheating on one’s spouse. No hatred there. Also, I took my son to his first ever Sox game last year and it just happened to be “Pride Night”. There is zero chance it will have any impact on my son’s sexual orientation. You are being ridiculous. -
The evolution of modern scouting
Chicago White Sox replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I swear I’ve seen the Sox claim they have one of the largest scouting staffs in baseball and that chart shows them slightly below average as of this year. -

This is one of the most staggering posts I have ever seen on this site. Like the words you’ve written don’t make a lick of sense and it simply comes across as a mildly insane “I hate homosexuals” rant.
