  1. Lol lets not get nuts. He still isn't hitting for much power, and despite a .300 BABIP, he still has a low BA. I'm not completely sold on him, but I am encouraged compared to a few weeks ago.
  2. Jimenez doesn't strike out as much as Stanton, has a better hit tool in general, but lacks the latter's absurd game power. Not sure if he can hit to all fields like Jose Abreu, but the raw numbers seem to invite comparison. I love the Yelich comp for Rutherford, but Yelich hit for substantially more power at the same age and level. .197 ISO for CY, .118 for Rutherford (so far). A man can dream though.
  3. If they DL Moncada, i'd like to see Jose Rondon get the call. He's been quite solid this year.
  4. Young starters, especially guys with fringe-y control like Fulmer (and Lopez, and Gio...) are going to have serious swings between good starts and bad.
  5. Get back to me after this coming offseason and i'll have a better idea.
  6. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?sid=milb&org=145&ymd=20180504 Covey, Stephens, Banks, Battenfield Jimenez left the yard again.
  7. I think Northside got them all. I'm tempering my enthusiasm for a lot of these guys until they float in the AA pool.
  8. He was drafted in what, the 4th round? They clearly saw his talent, so yeah, i'd say he's a potential promotion.
  9. Kevan Smith was pulled from the Charlotte game. Castillo DL trip upcoming?
  10. Adams gave up two homers in the first. Have there been any reports on him this year? His results seem much worse than usual.
  11. W-S has so many monstrous offensive performances so far that we've been overlooking that Mitch Roman has a .956 OPS with 11:16 BB:K ratio. He's older, but not THAT old. About average for the level.
  12. Call is kind of an afterthought at this point, but to promote Basabe and Booker, you have to re-home at least one of Fisher and Polo. Jimenez is probably Charlotte-bound.
  13. I'm not sure he will, honestly. There's too much of a logjam as is, and no one in W-S is really scuffling. Robert is coming back as well, and finding him a spot is, i'm sure, more of a priority.
  14. I know its Jordan Hicks and all but i'm glad Tim drew a walk. Feels like it had been a while.
  15. All Shields gotta do is keep munching those innings and he will have done his job this year.
  16. Damn Buehrle looks like he should be on Pawn Stars.
  17. Nice to see the Dickman playing well. I think maybe 60-75 more PA for Eloy at AA...by then, hopefully, Robert comes back and some shuffling happens.
  18. I definitely was pro-Gordon at that time. I thought he was the least likely to crater. Whoops.
  19. I'm encouraged by the team playing and hitting well lately, but it must be recognized that the Royals are really, really terrible.
  20. Also pleased about the two BB for Adolfo, after a string of multi-K games.
  21. MLBFarm doesn't seem to be working today. Just says no games scheduled. Here's the scheduled games: http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?sid=milb&org=145&ymd=20180424
  22. The downside to Avi's injury is that the OF depth was already bad and Engel will get more time. The upside is that Avi wasn't playing much better than Engel, so maybe he'll come back better.
