Well Saladino was playing some OF but he got injured, TJ. So he's out. I think 1 deal happens, but I couldn't say what one. No one has really played well enough to get traded. Dunn and Danks seem more like waiver trade material.
-
Thompson is a fringey MLB guy, so not surprised he has struggled. Beckham is having a bit of a correction, probably too late for his trade value.
-
I guess the Sox could give starts to Wang or Rienzo, though that is certainly less exciting.
-
I think the jist is that in the event of a Danks trade, Beck would be the most likely called up to replace him, hence the move to Charlotte. That might be true but the larger obstacle to that scenario remains finding a team to eat Danks contract.
-
Considering the cost it might be Hahn's best trade to date. Peavy trade may pay more dividends down the line but yeah I like Eaton. Any way we can kickstart a campaign to buy him bionic hamstrings?
-
Well, Judge is probably out. G Sanchez and Severino too. I think ultimately a package like JR Murphy and a young pitcher in their 10-20 range is enough, with the Yanks eating all but maybe a milli.

Looking at Pino's stats from 2014 tells me that he is probably around league average for a pitcher. This means: 1. He is better than Scott Carroll 2. He is better than any other Twins starter (not named Phil Hughes)

A tentative future: 1. As deadline day approaches, all remains quiet on the W Sox trade rumor front. The availability of Lester overtakes the availability of Price as TB decides to hold steady. AJ Burnett ends up on the Pirates where he belongs. 2. The day before the deadline the Royals acquire Viciedo for a pair of A-ballers. No one misses him. 3. Danks remains a White Sock but is moved in the offseason w/ cash to an AL West team. 4. Alexei finishes his contract on the South Side. 5. On Aug. 1 2014 Gordon Beckham is DFA'd

only 4 gigabytes of this wild flash card

Just gonna throw this out there - the Sox are not getting 3 arb years of Milone for one arb year of Beckham. The Sox don't match up well with Oakland unfortunately - this would be a good return for Viciedo but they do not need a corner OF.

Sox willing to deal Beckham in "right deal now"

Wrong week to scout him Still hoping for Chase De Jong despite the poor results. -
That said, lets just hope DV has a big series and the M's decide to pull the trigger.
-
Maurer is likely the best you could get for DV. Those Red Sox names are a pipe dream, pulled from a hat by one sports writer. Ignore them.

Nope. Semien's K rate is right around 18%, only slightly higher than last year's AAA time for him. His BB rate has gone up. Hate to harp on BABIP but if you are carrying a .197 BABIP in over 100 PA and show decent power, you know whats up. Semien will be ok, he just was clearly not MLB ready at the beginning of the season.
-
Danks isn't very good so i'd slow my roll on that trade package if I were you. With Danks it isn't "who are we getting back" but "how much do we have to pay to make him go away". Danks isn't even as good as Rios and we basically got a replacement level player + salary relief for him.

I wish I wish I hadn't killed that fish.

De Aza's not dead he's surely alive

Assuming they sign: 1. Rodon 2. Anderson 3. Hawkins 4. M. Johnson 5. Sanchez 6. Beck 7. Montas 8. Danish 9. Michalczewski 10. E. Johnson or M. Davidson, with the other at 11 and both with a chance to bounce back. For now i'll treat Adams like most treated Danish last year - lots of potential, too early to make the list.

Twins should take Jackson. -
Sanchez's K rate is up about 5% this year. Even in a down year in 2013 it was right around 15%, which is in line with his career. He might be selling out contact to hit the ball harder, a good plan if he wants to make the majors. So far so good.
