  1. At this point I will say the window has been closed until further notice
  2. Yet seemingly have the same holes year in and year out making spending even more important because they didn’t fix the issues to begin with, yet we all know they wont
  3. In all seriousness hopefully things start to pick up on the Sox end now that the non tenders will be all issued tonight and Hahn can get his dumpster diving started
  4. Can Robert swing the bat with more than one hand? Does Moncada still have sore legs and paper hammies? If I’m the Sox I say hell no to this but they will allow it because I’m sure it is important for the players
  5. Yep. I just find it funny one of the players Hahn has reportedly been interested in in the past is now available and he won’t be able to land him because ya know….money
  6. I’d take a flyer on him but the Sox won’t have the cash to get into a mini bidding war on him.
  7. The guy is a fraud, and has no info
  8. I would ease any expectations you have on this off-season free agent wise. Most noise they are gonna make is if they can be active in the trade market. They’ve been saying this since the day TLR stepped away
  9. But he’s been working out with the bulls training staff this offseason (notorious for fixing bad knees ???) and is in the best shape of his life” sorta story….. edit: Blackhawks training staff but still sad he has to get help outside the organization because the Sox seem to be incompetent
  10. What have you seen from him to show he would magically break out of that slump? Having a catcher who can’t catch and now can’t hit doesn’t seem worth guaranteeing a starting position on a “championship contender” if he wasn’t making as much as he is he would have been DFA’d this off-season/end of last year. Was literally unplayable and he’s only a year older. Having a younger catcher who can handle a pitching staff and has a decent bat isn’t easy to come by. Depending on the cost I would be fully onboard
  11. Your current catcher cannot play on a major league roster and is making 18 million a year. Murphy is a young upcoming catcher. Pretty simple, but since the Sox are already linked to him a deal for him won’t happen
  12. First they have to pull Yonder off of MLB Network for 3B coach. Then they can get Machado
  13. Meh had to get away from Hahns Table and focus on the next potential disaster in the making
  14. Yeah hoping for an out of the blue signing like we did with Yaz a few years ago but doubt that will happen
  15. His deal is going to be way north of 300 million more than likely. Wasn’t the Yankees offering 300+ and he was turning it down?
  16. I’m not arguing with you that it’s a bad idea. It’s JR and company that’s just moving water around on the Titanic not me….just thinking logically what you could potentially move to address a repetitive issue year in year out on this ball club. Undoubtedly it will create another issue just as basically any trade this team tries to make. That’s what happens when you have zero depth on the roster or in the minor leagues and refuse to go all in during your window and have other bad contracts all over your roster
  17. Only reason you even consider it is because ownership is cheap and he’s one of your only movable more “expensive” assets that you might be able to fill internally or cheaper while filling a hole elsewhere. Damn shame it’s come to stuff like this in your so called window of contention
  18. Who also was not able to pitch in back to back games for whatever reason
