Hagen made the hot sheet. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/ranking-the-20-hottest-mlb-prospects-hot-sheet-6-8-26/

BA mock today. Nothing worth calling out on it really. Still Roch. Will share the top 10. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2026-mlb-mock-draft-4-0-first-round-picks-for-every-team-with-a-month-to-go/

He's draft eligible and will be picked. He's not Lackey but a top 50 guy for sure. Not sure he's a catcher long-term though. Probably a corner OF guy when it's all said and done.

Lord knows the system is due for some international signings panning out. Here's hoping.

Holy s%*#. Is that the hardest ball Acuna has ever hit?

One of the responses to James guessed Nevin/Thome as perhaps ones not enamored with Roch.

Why would KW be involved in any capacity? Am I missing something?

Honestly those percentages are much closer than I would have thought. While I like Lackey, I still assumed Roch was far and away the favorite. I wonder what about Roch would be giving that much pause.

Awesome piece/mock by Taylor Blake Ward. https://www.thesportingtribune.com/2026/06/04/2026-mlb-mock-draft-10

Oops. (Looks like the PCA thread is closed.)

I really hope he makes it to 41. I dont think he lasts to 77. Joe Doyle made it sound like he would sign with the Sox for less than what he would be telling other teams his price is. I would kill for a competitive balance pick at this juncture as well. @Y2Jimmy0 You hearing anything on round 2 and 3 targets? Or saving that for your next mock?

James Fegan continuing to do awesome work. Piece on Wolkow well worth the read. https://soxmachine.com/2026/06/power-hitting-white-sox-prospect-george-wolkows-recent-hot-streak-has-a-tweak-behind-it

BA has their new top 100 update. Antonacci graduated. Hagen fell off entirely and Bonemer dropped from 18 to 31. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/risers-fallers-new-additions-to-june-2026-top-100-prospects-update/

I'll take this over his bouts of not being able to find the strike zone every other inning.

This is actually one of his better looking outings today.

95.2 is his max fastball so far today. Average is at 93.5.

I wouldn't go as far as @fathom on Carlson, but you 100% can't be factoring him into the Bigs in any capacity yet. Dude is in Low-A and has a long development path going forward. He's not some slam dunk sure thing.

From BA's top 10 MLB hitting prospects who stood out in May. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/10-mlb-hitting-prospects-who-stood-out-in-may-2026/

I was mainly joking. I'm actually fine with any of the Lackey/Roch/Emerson triumverate. I trust the Sox here. I'm a bit tired of the discourse myself and am more interested in what they do with the rest of the picks. I want them to go heavy prep upside, but with the timeline seemingly ahead of schedule I could see a college arm at 41. Jimmy floated Jack Radel earlier in the process and that would slot in nicely.

Eric Booth Jr.

Too many people on the Lackey train now. Time to move on to Flora. (Moving back the draft was so stupid.)

Braden has a wide open path to Chicago if he can seize it.
