I'm actually at the point where I'm totally fine with all 3 options. Have a slight preference for Lackey just because he seems to have the most upside/tools, but he seems like a distant third based off all the recent intel with the Sox. I have Emerson a bit ahead of Roch as well, but I get the proximity and window argument for Cholowsky. I want upside all day. But that's easy to say when I don't have the consequences of messing up a 1.1 pick.

Awesome article at BA today where they make the case for each of Cholowksy, Emerson, and Lackey as the number 1 overall pick. I will post only the portions on what each player could be like as a big leaguer and how it could go wrong. I posted it in the other draft thread, but my dream is Spangler at 41. Don't think he makes it there, but if he does I grab him and don't think twice. Might be a $4 million bonus though. Eerily similar profile to Colson Montgomery too. Why not go back to that well?

I originally wasn't going to be able to catch this game as I was going to see the Tides/Bulls with my financial advisor where I was going to have to break the news that I dropped a few bands on the White Sox winning the division a few weeks ago. It has been rained out though so I can continue to monitor firsthand how brilliant/idiotic my bet was. Lineup below. Teel sits against the lefty. Need Burke to go deep in this one.

They probably won't be getting a difference maker. It sure doesn't sound like they are going all-in. It doesn't help that they have maybe one top 100 prospect at this point in Bonemer. The farm has not been good this year outside the players they've graduated to the Bigs.
