  1. I like Madrigal and did not object to our drafting him at the time, but this has to be a massive exaggeration.
  2. Why the Hell is Ricky taking out The Bummer? Get this game over with.
  3. Gonzalez is tough to watch; I'm glad we traded him twice, but he is like a bad penny.
  4. Sometimes, if a guy boots one, some fans will remember it for a long time, forgetting all the good plays. Abreu at first is a good example. He gets blasted here for sub par defense, but that was a very good play he made in the ninth inning last night. That had two bases written all over it. Abreu played it perfectly and made the tough out. Two minutes later, game over. Even the KC announcers gave him kudos for the play.
  5. I don't get the criticism for Timmy at short. He makes all the plays and then some. Plus, he can hit and run the bases. So what if he has had 2 errors in this crazy season.
  6. Yep. And who was the Sox GM who put that deal together?
  7. Lambert's brother with Rockies just went down with TJS.
  8. Our closer needs some work.
  9. Just like last year, we will have a gaping hole at DH.
  10. That at bat by EE will probably be the worst one of the year. He looked useless.
  11. Is he still Manny's buddy? $4 Million from Hahn. I still can't get over it.
  12. Both of the PTI guys are good. It's the only sports show that's worth a shit, IMO.
  13. Owners aren't in this thread. That explains the stupidity of the rule.
  14. Stick Leury in the outfield, bring up Madrigal. (If Eloy is out)
  15. RR did not want to hurt Grandal's feelings by not starting him on Opening Day. He could have just switched catchers, Too easy. Or, he could have switched pitchers and have Keuchel start the opener, but then Gio's feelings might be hurt. Can't have that either.
  16. I like today's White Sox lineup better than those hobos we threw out there that day.
  17. Yes. Reminds me of those old radio broadcasts of away games in the early 1950's. WCFL, IIRC. Broadcasters did not travel with the team, and the studio guy read the results of each pitch from a teletype or whatever, with fake noise. Announcer's name was Bob Finnegan, I believe. Don't ask me how I remember stuff like that. Bob Elson did the home games, of course.
  18. Ben Bailey. Does anyone here know what guys like Bailey will be doing this summer?
  19. I would much rather have Mookie compared to Machado and Harper. Not even close.
  20. Both Ditka and Ozzie disliked Mariotti, and a lot of people in Denver did, too. Then, ESPN canned him. Is he still in the business?
  21. Fulmer might be history after his bad inning Sunday.
  22. There might be a .400 hitter this year -- the first since 1941.
