It's only 21 AB but Kevin Pillar's numbers with the Angels are absolutely fucking stupid.

And Chris Getz was hired because it wouldn't take him a year to turn this ship around - he even talked smack about the rest of the division - so nah, blaming Rick Hahn for Dominic Fletcher being the outfield version of Madrigal, Martin Maldonado being Yaz, Shewmake making the roster over Mendick, cutting Pillar is all on Getz.

Getz was able to sell them as such because they're real first in, last out lunch pail types that play for the front of jersey not the back.

lol And before anyone brings up Moncada or Robert's injuries: People say they get reliably hurt and if Getz didn't need a year to assess things, he'd have revamped the medical staff for this team's hilarious amount of soft tissue injuries the past few years.

He all of a sudden criticized Moncada for...skipping classes? And I had to remind him that Moncada wouldn't have been attending English class at the Dominican or Arizona complexes since he never played there for the Sox.

I'm 100% here for him continuing to succeed. But the Getz stans making this face with Ramos succeeding as Soroka gets lit up, Lopez grounds out, Maldonado struggles to hit .100, Brad Keller exists, and the team fails to reach .300 feels incredibly thin.

It's so weird that Eloy wearing red gloves has spread to the entire team.

God forbid those of us who like Ramos are fearful that an organization with a history of rushing and destroying prospects are possibly rushing a prospect by having him jump from AA to MLB because Chris Getz is a panicky little s%*#. He's hitting right now. This is good. Hopefully he keeps hitting.

The angle I was going for was hot market commodity and the Sox were very clearly sellers. We heard all offseason about the Cease bidding war and then didn't get a high-level hitting prospect in return (Zavala is projectable).
