  1. Comment I saw on Reddit was that at least the White Sox have given us lots of random fun stuff. Lightning in a bottle WS team with one of the most dominant playoff runs ever A president, a pope and a brief stint by Michael Jordan 5 no-hitters, of which 2 were Perfect Games. The other 3 were nearly perfect. Field of Dreams game Absolutely dominant players (that they could never surround with depth) Some of the best aesthetics in the sport On the flip side, I don't know if any team has weirder negative s%*# happen to them, like the Drake LaRoche stuff or a fan getting shot in the bleachers and no one noticing.
  2. I was rounding up to +10 wins a year. This year being the ~50 win season. So 2025 = 50, 2026 = 60, 2027 = 70, 2028 = 80. So almost there!
  3. Hell yeah, improvement. At this rate, they'll be a .500 team by 2028.
  4. He fails the eye test and traditional metrics, so I'm gonna go with advanced metrics. Before today his fWAR was 0.0, tied with Vasil for 16th among pitchers with at least 5 innings. Ahead of Clevinger, Murfee and Castro (all have -0.1) and Wilson (-0.5) So not being last isn't exactly a ringing endorsement.
  5. Faiardo has a small sample size and it's rookie ball, but the 18-year-old seems to be doing pretty good. I guess Booser was supposed to be a flip candidate for stuff better than Fajardo
  6. Booser remains the strangest acquisition to me.
  7. I love how this is taking on a life of its own and he's embracing it. Cardinals are probably sitting there like "what the f***?"

As long as we're going down stupid rabbit holes, Devers would only cost the Sox 18,142,857 Sydney Sweeney soap bars

Not counting this year, Devers has $254M left on his contract. JR would never, never approve such a deal. Why is this so hard for you to comprehend?
  10. Vaughn being traded has been the worst thing for the Elko movement, it seems.
  11. I've never said a bad thing about Miguel "The Swing Change" Vargas. Just don't look at my post history or sworn affidavits.
  12. I agree. I broke my "don't buy an active player jersey" rule for a TA Southside jersey. But if you mention him nowadays, everyone will spit his name out with venom because of how it ended. Hell, people love celebrating him failing with the Marlins and Angels.
  13. If we're declaring victories with Smith, Vargas, Meidroth, and Quero this early, then Moncada, Eloy, TA, and Robert were all massive successes.
  14. This is amazing, but I'm also a little mad that Brooks Boyer lucked into one of the greatest opportunities possible here.
  15. Meidroth for the Beckham hair seal of approval.
  16. "Pope wearing Sox hat" was definitely on everyone's bingo card, right?
  17. Sox are winning today

Wtf was in the Carolina water tonight.
  19. This looks right, except Rojas will somehow start.
  20. Birthday Milkshakes.

I was trying to figure out how tf Fernando Tatis Jr. was pitching five innings without it blowing up social media.
  22. I haven't turned the game on yet but I assume a swing change hasn't been mentioned yet, which is making Vargas under perform.
  23. Y'all need to familiarize yourselves with the philosophy that the simplest explanation — racists doing racist things — is what happened instead of trying to galaxy brain up excuses for vile actions.
