Right, I'm replying to Kyle saying that that limitation is stupid. Especially cause a team like the Sox have an abundance of throwbacks.
-
I've wished that instead of beach blankets every Sunday, they would rotate throwbacks for Sunday uniforms. They have so many classics and it would print money because it would give people different options to choose from, but Nike gonna Nike.

Feels notable

Eh, the '59 jersey red is still there. Just because it wasn't a dominant color doesn't mean it wasn't visible / a distinct part of their jersey/logo.
-
On the other hand: Everyone that spent the past five years hating on the Southside jerseys is now getting a "careful what you wish for" moment.

Red is a historical Sox color, so the bolded is talking out of their ass. The more I look at these, the more I realize my issue with them: The black pinstripes. It's an element from the Sox jerseys, which is hypothetically good to keep, but they never existed for the Bulls. It creates this weird, uncanny valley effect where it almost looks like a Bulls jersey, but something is off. If they had just done a red jersey (keep the black sleeves) with the cursive Chicago script that both teams (historically) share, I think they'd be less jarring / would come across as something better than a Reinsdorf-special. It's irking me because it was so close. The pants, hat, sleeves and logo all look good. It's just the torso.

Like my response to the leaks: Love / hate. Hat is a home run. I actually wasn't a fan of the Chi hat, so this is a step up. Sleeveless look is great. You can even argue that it connects to the city, with the dynasty being such a fundamental piece of the city's sporting history. But because it's JR, this feels like a cheap cop out. Also, Miguel Vargas is throwing sass.

And also his foot. -
The clip of the Browns war room screams that ownership made the decision. They look DEAD inside.

Hey, they did the thing we were hoping for

For anyone looking at the URL and thinking six months from now, it's six months from his Jan. 29 surgery.

I can't think of the last time a league collectively humbled a dude like this. If he doesn't get picked in the 4th, I think he could fall out of the draft. If you're a head coach do you want to bother with Shedeur's online fanboys and ESPN's screaming heads (Kiper, Stephen A.) banging the table that your backup QB needs to start games all while Deion starts publicly angling for your job?

I love Seth Rollins.

My friend texted me and he didn't understand why I was confused. Hyped but confused.
-
I'm wondering if they're waiting to see if Elko can do this for one more month since he's a .babip merchant (which, to be fair, he always has been) with a 30% strikeout rate (which has also stayed consistent). He's finally walking this season, which is good.
-
Obvious answer now is that they trade Caleb and draft Sanders.
-
The fact that there's a special round of picks and they are the only picks that can get traded and their pool counts towards the larger pool is so fucking stupid.
-
This will cause so much chaos
-
I don't know Cali, but if they did, you and your retrospective crystal ball certainly would claim credit for predicting their ascent back in 2013 when Luis Robert was playing for Ciego de Ávila in the Cuban National Series.
-
Yeah, Crochet trade was baller. Pretty much an inverse of Cease. I was so bummed Boston took Teel one pick before the Sox in the draft, so that was perfect.
-
He saw what happened to Moncada and Robert and took Ozzie's "can't pull fat" to heart.
-
I mean Braden Montgomery is demolishing the ball.
-
Ok, note to self: Go ballistic and Getz's boys will have good games.
-
Sorry, I'm gonna keep going because the team on the field is such a walking embarrassment that Getz deserves to be roasted over a volcanic flame. Acting like he's the first GM to have their hands tied in the history of the sport is laughable. The Rays, Orioles and Guardians are infamously miserly and succeed, in large part due to their farm system. Sox couldn't get anything from theirs - and guess who was in charge of it? I don't want to hear that he had his hands tied blah blah blah, because then his entire hiring process just makes him out to be a conniving little weasel whispering in Jerry's ear that "if only Kenny and Hahn are gone, THEN I can do my job!" He's a walking, talking peter principle. When you look at his career holistically, he can't scout. He can't trade. He can't develop. He can't sign free agents. He can't hire. He's so desperately clinging to the guys from the Crochet deal (which any GM should have nailed) after botching the Cease deal. He's banking on Hahn's last acquisition in Quero. I'll actually give him developing Sosa. Sosa finally looks like a win.
