I missed this one, but from the box score... Chase Meidroth = GOAT?

There's an alternate reality where the '90s White Sox are GM'd by Dombrowski and coached by Francona. Or Dombrowski/La Russa in the '80s.

This is Jerry-level operations: The accusations Joann fired at Michael recently means this is pure recipe for disaster.

White Sox making best swing decisions in MLB so far

I guess this is my bad for not adding quote marks or any sarcasm indicator, because I know Moncada is the ultimate bait for people. It was meant to hammer home the fact that it's a small sample size. The Angels are neck and neck with the Sox and Moncada is contributing to that. But unless Moncada completely revamped his approach, that's probably not gonna last. Right now the Sox are horrendous at hitting and would be far and away the worst offensive team if not for two outlier games. -

If the team is collectively hitting below the Mendoza line, then no, I can't say it is. But also, this data is already out of date because of small sample sizes. The Angels are petty much neck and neck with the Sox and they're getting a boost from Moncada slashing his O-Swing% in half (again, small sample size) and carrying a .385 OBP. So if the Angels can take the same strategy and fix Moncada, the Sox should feasibly be able to get production out of their guys who are underperforming relative to their talent level. -
He's gonna torment us for years, isn't he?

Considering their output, this ain't a good flex. -
I once again posit the question: Would any other team have hired Getz in 2023 or right now?

Paul Janish on his path to becoming GM.

Also, Cavs ended up winning big, but they played their full team minus Mitchell most of the night. The Bulls sat Giddey, Coby, Huerter and Vuc (and obviously Lonzo and Jones) and pulled the game back to single digits multiple times before going to Jevon Carter and the G Leaguers. I still don't expect much in the playoffs, but it was fun watching Matas and the bench scrap against the #1 team in the East.

And the GM, because apparently they hated each other creating a toxic environment where players got divided into camps. Jokic was apparently not consulted and likes Malone. Meanwhile, the Athletic has a line that Booth was upset that Malone wasn't playing Jalen Pickett down the stretch of close games.

Zavala and that one dude on Twitter are grateful for Colson's struggles.

I mean, Oscar Colas hasn't thrown a pitch since the NPB minor leagues and "Cuban Ohtani" is a meme, but him as a reliever would at least be interesting. s%*#, they might as well have let Gallo try his hand at being a two-way player for the hell of it.

I can't wait for General Manager Paul Janish's press conference after reading Schultz to the Red Sox

If I had to rank: 1) Reinsdorf 2) La Russa 3) Kenny/Hahn tied 4) Getz 5) Pedro

When you can re-sign Clevinger twice, you have to do it.

Holy s%*#. Loved Dotel when he was here. Rest in peace.
