This is the daily reminder that Vinny Capra has 10 hits for the entire season, whereas Brooks Baldwin has 14 home runs between Chicago and Charlotte. Sosa and Baldwin need all the burn they can get right now. There's no reason for Capra, and probably Rojas, to be around.

Hollinger had Essengue at #7 on his big board. Abbreviated snippets: Without knowing much about Essengue himself, I'm always a fan of young guys that get starting minutes in the EuroLeague because they're playing against dudes that were in the NBA or former college standouts.

What the f*** man? Absolutely disgusting.

I didn't notice till now that Tauchman uses Your Love as his walk-up. Beckham, you massive, massive bust.
-
He was a 23-year-old monster and the Sox were entering their rebuild how the hell were they supposed to trade for him?
-
Opened the list of free agents, saw Tucker Barnhart, and now I'm not ruling it out.
-
It's well known that he's introverted as hell. Knowing that the org has desperately wanted to trade you for 2 years + all of your teammates that you've bonded with being gone, I get it. I think the only teammate I've seen him really chatting up is Vargas, which makes sense - although, admittedly, I watch games more passively now and am not looking for dugout shots. I've seen people say good riddance to the Cuban connection that the Sox had, but it's a very real thing throughout their history that shouldn't be discounted.

He wasn't great with the X's and O's, but then they hired a guy who didn't even know what the rules were anymore. We all know Hinch was lined up and lo and behold, the Tigers are in a good spot.

Yes?

In retrospect I feel like I (and others) owe Ricky so many apologies.

Cause he's a proven winner, right?

Vinny Capra has 9 hits total in 2025.

Cracks me up that Reinsdorf could have had what amounts to essentially free advertising in both Benetti and Adam Amin as they both rise in national prominence / call bigger and bigger profile games. Of course it wouldn't make a significant amount of people tune in more, but having Mike Breen calling the NBA Finals is good advertising for him as a product, and as a result, what MSG puts out. Then there are situations where it works out. Bill Walton only happens cause Jason worked well with him in the past. That broadcast got watched by a ton of non-Sox fans. It would be horrendous with Schriffen.

Damn Houser got robbed

Why is Rojas still here?

DFA'ing him now would be such a hilarious white flag, so they need to give him the phantom IL trip. WE WON not how I wanted this to happen but let it be so

I do wonder if they can break last year's number of White Sox players rostered

6/18 game PPD, rescheduled 6/19 Doubleheader 1:10PM

Comment I saw on Reddit was that at least the White Sox have given us lots of random fun stuff. Lightning in a bottle WS team with one of the most dominant playoff runs ever A president, a pope and a brief stint by Michael Jordan 5 no-hitters, of which 2 were Perfect Games. The other 3 were nearly perfect. Field of Dreams game Absolutely dominant players (that they could never surround with depth) Some of the best aesthetics in the sport On the flip side, I don't know if any team has weirder negative s%*# happen to them, like the Drake LaRoche stuff or a fan getting shot in the bleachers and no one noticing. -

I was rounding up to +10 wins a year. This year being the ~50 win season. So 2025 = 50, 2026 = 60, 2027 = 70, 2028 = 80. So almost there! -

Hell yeah, improvement. At this rate, they'll be a .500 team by 2028. -

He fails the eye test and traditional metrics, so I'm gonna go with advanced metrics. Before today his fWAR was 0.0, tied with Vasil for 16th among pitchers with at least 5 innings. Ahead of Clevinger, Murfee and Castro (all have -0.1) and Wilson (-0.5) So not being last isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. -

Faiardo has a small sample size and it's rookie ball, but the 18-year-old seems to be doing pretty good. I guess Booser was supposed to be a flip candidate for stuff better than Fajardo -

Booser remains the strangest acquisition to me.
