Just cause it's worth mentioning: What a renaissance for Sale after the injured years in Boston. He's finally punching his ticket to Cooperstown. I'm guessing they'll give him a Red Sox hat cause of the World Series, but each chapter is really interesting. Unless he's got 5 more years in him, his longest run (and most sustained success) will have been with the White Sox. Had his most dominant season (2017) and World Series (2018) in Boston, but the increase in velocity those two years laid the groundwork for his injuries. Two All-Star seasons in Atlanta, finally gets the Cy Young.

Well you see, if Shane Smith continues to develop and blossom into a perennial All-Star, that builds excitement for a team and could lead to a new stadium at the 78th. Houser will be gone, thus no new stadium.

I agree with this for one big reason: Shane Smith is getting in based on the strength of his first 9 starts, so even though Adrian Houser is pretty much just on a heater, that's the entirety of his season. But like you said: It doesn't really matter either way.

I think if you're able to sell off (or shed) all of the vets, barring other acquisitions you might as well drop Fletcher in right and DeLoach in left. Elko is the problem at this point. He's still smashing the ball, but his profile (high-strikeout BABIP-merchant) is the same. I think the other prospects being on the team (and Vaughn being gone) could take pressure off of him. If Vargas or Sosa could become the generic Guy Who Hits Gets Stashed in Left because of Elko, I'd be happy.

Knowing nothing about them, I now want Lebron so we can get Lebron jerseys next to Jordan 45s. I know #6 is unofficially retired, but they'd need to unretire it for the humor.

Same. Watching Rowand in the memorial video has me ugly crying. The Rockies taking a moment of silence had me tear up again. Dude overcame struggles to reach the majors, became a monster closer, struggled again, became sober and settled down and then had this horrific finale. The happiest memory I have of my dad is him dancing with glee at Bobby hugging AJ. Losing him hurts a lot.
