  1. First good look I've seen at the final suit and my god it looks ripped straight from the comics. I only hope they keep the expressive eyes / some different types of webbing (like the web bomb).
  2. Oh definitely not this season (or next), just in the future. I think 2-way contracts and every team having a G-League team besides the Suns and Trail Blazers are huge steps towards it.
  3. How're you forgetting DeRozan for the Bulls' slam dunk contest?
  4. At least we got ours out of the way. Lordy. Also, I'm hoping this makes the league consider making G-League teams operate like AAA squads where they sign contracts with the NBA team and can get called up. It'd be great to have the Windy City Bulls running the same schemes, instead of signing dudes from random teams, because now we've got... - McKinnie (Mexico City) - McClung (South Bay) - Ersan (FA) - Formerly Stanley Johnson (South Bay)
  5. Gonna echo Kyle here. Baseball talk. Final warning.
  6. Makes me think of the Ypsi Prep Academy that Emoni Bates' dad set up just for him: https://www.ypsiprep.com/
  7. Then they can sell the team and invest in the stock market!
  8. In the comics JJJ and the Bugle always danced a fine line, especially when Ben Urich was around (which is definitely not possible now that Daredevil is canon). JJJ definitely had runs where he was more akin to the Daily News/NY Times, but he hated masked vigilantes - he respected guys like Cap and Iron Man who were heroes out in the open. I feel like if they went with that angle, it'd have a lot more nuance than Alex Jones, MCU style. But with all this movie had to juggle, that's a lot to toss in.
  9. So about Kelenic's -0.7 WAR in 93 games...?
  10. The only team that didn't gain value from 2020 to 2021 was the Tampa Bay Rays They had one bad year vs. hand-over-fist money every other year
  11. How about this: If the owners are assuming so much risk, they lose their legalized monopoly?
  12. Pretty obvious he's been possessed since he put on a Bulls jersey.
  13. The thing is, they're going to raise prices regardless.
  14. Obviously to improving minor league conditions!
  15. If there wasn't a lock out you the owners would have raised the prices on you. Every team should instead mimic the Falcons, who slashed prices (twice!) and made life easier for fans. Their bottom line went up 15% and fans were happy.
  16. Source is a grain of salt but my sides have entered the atmosphere.
  17. The story about Starling Marte not becoming a White Sox prospect is just absolutely wild.
  18. Legitimately laughed at the lead in to the Prieto information. Great work as usual, James.
  19. ? fair man, fair. For context in case any insane person doesn't take the hint: This got asked a lot during the Colas stuff last year when MLB shifted signing dates around. Going to current signees and saying "nah we take it back so we can sign another dude" would basically kill future negotiations because it's a douchey thing to do.
  20. Met Roland in Arizona at a D-Backs-Sox game. Wonderful guy.
  21. Before a bunch of people inevitably asks you, I'll get it out of the way even though I know the answer: If the new Tatis is such a stud, can't the Sox just rescind their offers to the current signees and just sign him?
  22. This is what pisses me off the most. No way in hell they'd make any of those teams go through this nightmare scenario, but the Bulls are 1) A risk to other teams (as were the Hornets were before them) 2) A risk to any players brought in (Stanley) 3) A risk to staff (Stacey, Wennington) 4) A risk to the remaining players and coaches, especially ones like Caruso nursing an injury 5) A risk to fans that may get close for autographs The fuck is Silver thinking? Imagine if the Bulls play the Wizards? Whatever strain is going around a 100% vaccinated team is going to definitely infect Bradley Beal.
