  1. Greg, for the 525,600th time: The Sox were literally barred by the league from tanking last year. They cannot draft higher than #10 despite having lost 121 games. This isn't tanking. This is simply not trying.
  2. Getz acquired Fletcher and DeLoach and needs to prove he can acquire talent. That's it at this point.
  3. Considering our top free agent priority was a 32-year-old outfielder coming off his worst season, I'd personally just set Colas free. They are determined to not let him play. They would put Vargas, Amaya or Steve Wilson in centerfield before letting Colas get consistent reps.
  4. Personally, I'd keep Vaughn, because the other options are Miguel Vargas: If a hitting instructor can fix this, he can definitely fix Vaughn. Tim Elko: I'd like to see him get a shot, but I'd also like to see a bit more time at AAA, considering the nature of the Charlotte bandbox. Oscar Colas: I'm pretty sure the org would rather trade Colas to the NPB for literally nothing than play him, because they somehow think he's multitudes worse than Fletcher/DeLoach/Vargas.
  5. His innings pitched dropped a significant 2 innings per game, hence the "ran out of steam." But considering you continuously argued Drew Thorpe > 2024 Dylan Cease, I don't expect much from your arguments.
  6. But most people liked the Fedde deal and Crochet very much began to run out of steam.
  7. For real, we saw the incident happen: You definitely see his head slam, he got diagnosed with a concussion. Cuba's doctors said he got bruised ribs. If it was a back injury, it might have been from landing while twisting at such a wild angle. Backs are stupid. But also, the Sox medical staff isn't the most illuminating, so this may have had absolutely nothing to do with it.
  8. The guys in this range are wild, lots of guys who got into the Hall pretty easily, then like, Javy Vazquez. Billy Pierce and Mark Buehrle are #79 and #80 all time. Sale is #73.
  9. So you're telling me Drew Thorpe was good enough to be 4th in the NL Cy Young voting???
  10. Yeah, I'm not getting upset over Sporcle slot #12
  11. The Sox need to not play him at third because it seems like White Sox third basemen are destined to have injuries, especially backs and obliques.
  12. Guys, can it be possible that Colson is still a top prospect that had a rough season, this diminishing his shine, but he also has a pretty good Fall League showing (unless your name is Keith Law?). He looked like a sure thing at the beginning of last year and now there are questions, but he could still turn out great.
  13. With absolutely zero knowledge of McKinven outside of the fact that the Brewers gave up the 4th fewest runs this year, seems like a good hire.
  14. I'd believe this was a guy selling italian sandwiches at the park before learning that he's a player on the 40-man.
  15. Yeah, he screams "guy that will start the season with the team and end up on a Sporcle quiz."
  16. I mean, just keep the F in his name and Eberfloser is a gift-wrapped nicknamed.
  17. Eberflus has the anti-clutch gene an passes is onto the team.
  18. I feel like you just beat him down to the tune of the Animaniacs nations of the world song.
  19. This team plays at an absolutely relentless pace. Pat is finally...showing... aggression? I'm worried about how bad the East is to this point. It might give AKME false hope.
  20. Somehow, the Dodgers turn Lenyn Sosa into a .280/.320/.770 hitter.
  21. It might be fun to watch all of baseball clown on Getz and Jerry as they lose 130 games and Getz keeps going "we're working on the fundamentals."
  22. It'd be this, which is basically every GM in this town:
  23. I know it's a tangent, but when did we switch from calling Montgomery "Colson" to "Monty"
