Folks, I think it's time to ask ourselves: Was Vaughn capable of being the best Sox first baseman since Frank? I worship Paulie and Abreu, but in Milwaukee, Vaughn's bat is showing a lot of OOMPH. It makes me question if the Sox can develop OOMPH (a better indicator than WAR). I think they should trade back for him. Maybe give the Brewers that struggling lefty they drafted.

I was on the phone with my dad, who was watching in Arizona and his feed was slightly ahead. I told him to try and not spoil it. I remember hearing him beginning to sound excited while TA was taking pitches on my screen and I went "I'm guessing he hit a walk off? He replied "HOW DO YOU KNOW???" I also realize that by letting myself get pulled into this I've satisfied the feeding of the troll.

The Dodgers and Browns are such hilariously bad examples. There's no politician in Chicago (possibly Illinois?) that holds as much power over urban development as Robert Moses (who disliked baseball) when O'Malley wanted to move the Dodgers one neighborhood over.
