  1. Mavericks and Blazers went over the air. Mavs are gonna obviously tank. But if the Bulls were trying - or at least picking a fucking direction - they might actually still get fans tuning in.
  2. JR learning that the most loyal fanbase in the NBA is getting tired of his s%*# It's amazing because Sox fans and especially Bulls fans print money if they have contenders. Dude is the most short sighted owner in sports.
  3. I really wish we got Gallo during the "f*** the home run" era.
  4. @Lip Man 1 can correct me if I'm wrong, but pretty sure DA wanted it and I think you can argue his Sox tenure outshone his time in Philly.
  5. Haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere, but the Hall makes a sad choice for DA.
  6. This Dodgers one is particularly baffling cause they've shared Camelback for so long that Getz was a player for the Sox when it first opened. If this magical success-by-osmosis was going to happen, it'd have probably happened by now. Why didn't Chris walk over to their minor league fields in the past 8 years and figure out how to run a farm?
  7. Has anyone considered that the Sox might have better medical facilities in Arizona than Chicago?
  8. Hollinger wrote that the Bulls had a first on the table for Lonzo. So they could have gotten multiple seconds for Drummond and Vuc, and a first for Lonzo. AKME just cannot manage assets.
  9. Rendon is the all time fleece.
  10. Speaking of Pham, if we hadn't been so insistent on giving him at-bats last year (and ultimately make him a throw-in), Fletcher/Colas/DeLoach could have gotten playing time and we'd have gotten a better assessment of them.
  11. I've seen enough videos from a trainer on Twitter to know that Zavala will have a 1.000 OPS this year.
  12. Again, I'm not a fan of his. But Taylor can't reach the Mendoza line and Slater flirts with it like Boyers and the campfire milkshake. If Fletcher, DeLoach (assuming he clears waivers) and Colas aren't allowed to sink or swim - then what's the point? The team doesn't need to keep stockpiling no-bat outfielders over 30.
  13. I don't like Fletcher, but it's a lot easier to sell a plan for the future if half the lineup is under 30.
  14. Don't worry, we can get some 17-year-old that, based on Getz's stellar record, will become a superstar by 2030, thus saving the fan base. Taylor, Tauchman, Slater, Drury and Rojas is a murderer's row, it's just that they'll be killing the Sox fandom.
  15. Or just youth altogether?
  16. I can't believe we lied to Slater about being are premier #1 priority
  17. "Old guy acquired in Cease trade cleared waivers after being DFA'd, thus improving trade" is certainly a viewpoint.
  18. I'll always remember Crochet getting soreness his rookie year, making Trout and Ohtani look silly in Spring Training, and then he was out for the year the next day.
  19. Man, he was one of the guys that would have been somewhat fun to watch. Hope he recovers 100%.
  20. Brandon Drury is a peak KW/Hahn move
  21. How do you feel about acquiring another Jarold Rosado (what they got for DeJong) at the expense of seeing if Sosa or Vargas can be anything, giving Meidroth and Baldwin playing/development time in a wasted year, and Colson or Ramos playing time if they hit at Charlotte? Non-contention seasons are when you try out your younger guys, not burn time on 32-year-olds on the downswing of their careers
  22. Swanson, Bregman were SEC shortstops. Witt, Seager, Henderson, Abrams, Volpe were all commits. And since we're reaching all the way back to Beckham, you can throw Ian Kinsler in there. This is such a brain dead take, it's like people deriding Drake Maye because of Mitch Trubisky.
  23. + throw the bag at Smith and Sweat, thus creating the sweatiest pass rush to ever exist
  24. Their random American sports coverage might be AI-driven now (like Sports Illustrated tried to do under the radar), but it has existed for years as a clickbait farm.
