  1. Two MVP caliber/perennial All-Star players+ is pretty bad in return for James Shields and Jeff Samardzija.
  2. If any non-Dodgers team could fix a dude, it's Tampa Bay. Also, their temporary field dimensions: Left Field – 318 ft (97 m) Left-Center – 399 ft (122 m) Center Field – 408 ft (124 m) Right-Center – 385 ft (117 m) Right Field – 314 ft
  3. Tatis, Semien, Bassitt, Gio, Montas, Escobar, Reed, Hudson, Devenski.
  4. Maybe this and Wilson paint a picture: Getz's meta is acquiring old, controllable relievers with hopes to flip them?
  5. Chris Getz is now trying to tank for the 2026 NBA Draft?
  6. @WestEddy ruined my hopes of being the only person to say Lenyn Sosa, so, uh, Bryan Ramos!
  7. I'll go with Lenyn Sosa.
  8. Schriff is the 3rd place meme taken to the extreme:
  9. If Schriff gets "Robinson" from that, well, that's another issue.
  10. Counter point: Would you rather have more Frank Thomas and Jim Thome or more Dylan Cease and Michael Lorenzen.
  11. Half of the article is just "Lorenzen wants to join a team that has nothing to lose, like the Marlins or White Sox, who suck and aren't trying, and his pitch to them is 'let me do this, then trade me and we all win.'"
  12. Cody Bellinger returning to high school 10 years from now would be a bit weird.
  13. I also enjoy that one of the defense's in this thread was "Oscar Robertson died a long time ago and Schriffen took time to learn..." That'd be like calling a game for Arizona State baseball and referencing their great hitter Reggie Johnson. Except it's even worse cause Schriffen was talking about an Oscar statue, which prominently displays his name.
  14. Maybe you try to flip MPJ's smaller salary to another team?
  15. The funny thing is that The Athletic started rotating writers at the end of the year to cover the Sox because they had such a spike in interest from the outside.
  16. Here's the problem: Right now, who's gonna get a bigger pay day? Kopech, who despite all the injuries and bravado and failure as a starter, had success as a reliever for the Dodgers and will now get a full season with them. Or Drew Thorpe, who is a soft tossing righty that still got injured. If Thorpe has lost any speed, he's fucked.
  17. I know I'm skewed because I loved Gilbert in the draft, but if the Mets offered Gilbert and you could get Baty+Acuna for lower than what they'd cost a few years ago, I could get behind that deal. Both teams would be betting on rebounds while the Sox get a top prospect that still has shine.
  18. Man, what truly sucks the most is that Fegan and Vinnie are two of the best and moderated when it comes to actual reporting vs. meatball coverage.
  19. Vinnie was the glue guy of White Sox podcasts that kept them from being meatball central. I wonder if he'll jump markets or switch sports. I would head the latter since he's a local guy.
  20. Is his name pronounced like Bryce? If so, God help us all with Schriffen.
  21. On one hand, no Pedro. On the other hand: They'll need Venable to hit the ground running, several RoY contenders, and monstrous development from starters and relievers alike. And that's to get out of the basement.
