Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
I think if Roki wants to be the guy, those are a lot smaller obstacles to overcome than Ohtani, Yamamoto, Mookie and Freeman. Just a hunch.

You get to be the guy.

Upon double checking, it should just say Czech. But if you didn't follow the WBC:

You say that, but wait until they find a young Czech* with electric stuff.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
The last few years have shown that unless you're a top free agent, Boras playing these games is extremely detrimental.

So I know the Bulls 100% need to sell. But then the stupid part of my brain wants them to try and get Zion if they can buy low since he's trying to force his way out.

Caulfield why did you have to bring up Bob Uecker's age. This was an all-time jinx.

I've seen it and quote it frequently. Why all the characters' ages (and deaths?) suddenly came up, I don't know.

Ishbia brothers own small piece of White Sox...
If the Sox were for sale tomorrow, they'd go for $2 billion easy. Chicago area, marketable brand. The Clippers had nothing and were the second team in their own arena and sold for 2 billion 10 years ago. It's New York, but the Mets sold for $2.4 billion and they share the city with the Yankees. Nets, again, a second team in their city, sold for $2.35 billion — to a person who already owned 49% of the team. A successful White Sox team prints money. JR just doesn't like ~risk~

Were most of these already agreed to or are there any other Dodgers/Padres/Blue Jays defections?

In a world where trades and FA didn’t exist, Sox would be mired in mediocrity (14th)
This is balderdash. Everyone knows Madrigal would start at second, TA at catcher.

Mark Davis and part-time owner Tom Brady in a stadium where you'll never be the most popular team. Bears have their warts, but Raiders aren't a spring chicken.

And, despite Jerry's best efforts, the Sox have one of the best selling brands in baseball — at least when it comes to hats. A competent owner could turn the Sox into a financial powerhouse by doing things like not low balling Chance the Rapper (see: asking him to work for free) and continuing to get good promotion that way.

C'mon man, I could not have made the sarcasm more obvious.

Reminds me of when they signed Yasmani Grandal to replace James McCann 🤔. Absolutely no confidence in Lee, Quero or Teel.

This is all a master plan by Roki: Make Dodgers prospects decommit and go to the Sox, strengthening the farm system, train at the shiny new DSL academy (off the record), for a year and then he's OD starter in 2026. 5D chess.

Nothing beats the Bryce Harper United Center. I realize that was part of the pitch and not something Harper was rocking, but dear fucking God it's seared into my head.

Ishbia brothers own small piece of White Sox...
I understand him not wanting to sell 3 years after a World Series, on the cusp of a return to the playoffs and the Bulls entering the Rose Era (i.e., Jerry was probably feeling good about sports). Now? Not so much.

Jerry: "It's impossible to find a seller." Hobson owns part of the team. "Just absolutely no one with Chicago connections to be found." Ishbia brothers own part of the team and are actively trying to buy an MLB franchise. "Man, Dave Stewart sounds like a good future owner."
