QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 12:20 AM) Taylore Cherry..... GET EM BIG BOY. 13 IP, 1 ER, 2 BB, 17 K. Well, one of the two players I was stupid high on is doing well. COME ON ALVAREZ YOU CAN DO IT
  2. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 08:45 PM) 15-6 baby! Sale with another dominant outing, looks like the Cy Young could be a possibility this year. He'll have to get past Latos and Albers.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 10:45 AM) Just went flying ahead of Polanco for best defensive fWAR in baseball. Suck it, Heyward.

Can "f***ING LIKE A CAT" be this year's version of "STIR THE DRINK"?
  5. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 08:09 AM) Mad Cubs fan rant: If Quintana is average, they must hate paying the average Jon Lester such a massive salary.
  6. Ted Cruz looks around and goes "Guys, you know what was a good idea? The gestapo. Let's bring that back for Muslims."
  7. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 08:07 PM) Name one worse. King, maybe. Funk. Not even close.
  8. I love this team.
  9. Holy s*** Eaton. And holy s***, Gonzalez. Back to Charlotte.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 03:01 PM) I watched a guy tear his ACL/MCL on a slide at home plate. He tried playing more of the game. He could stand and run in a straight line OK. But he would literally collapse if he tried any kind of lateral motion. I was able to pivot, cut, move laterally, etc. I'm obviously a weird case, but it's possible. I had basically 99% mobility and range, just had greatly reduced strength behind it.

  12. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 02:17 PM) It's really hard to walk on a torn ACL. It's possible, but a torn MCL makes more sense. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 02:21 PM) Straight lines? No. Any kind of turns, absolutely. I played competitive sports on a torn ACL and meniscus for eight months - I didn't know it was torn for seven of those. So it's possible.

QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 01:57 PM) If the Sox keep up these winning ways Anderson is going to be shipped at the deadline. That would be a terrible mistake.
  14. Just get the ball to Matt Albers with a lead. #CyAlbers

QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 11:11 PM) There's a huge different between taking PEDs and beating women. Yeah, Braun's a douche and handled the PEDs thing wrong, but he's not it Myers class. I meant in regards to Braun's systematic destruction of a man's life. I should rephrase it. He'd be the closest we'd get to Myers, who is scum of the earth.

I hated having to see Brett Myers on my team. Ryan Braun isn't that far off. Absolute scum.
  17. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 09:05 PM) Yea good call with the cute thing. That for sure needs to be reigned in quite a bit. Even makes stone awkward and stone tries to be cute alot too. Overall, it is what it is. We now have our announcer that blends in to the background like every other team's guy. He has the standard announcer voice and clearly never played sports, let alone pro ball- but that's just like every other announcer. Gone soon are the days of insight into the human side of the game that only comes from experience. But that's what most of the fans on here wanted. We now have the guy that comes with batteries right out of the announcer box. He will never be remembered, revered or even talked about. Kinda feel bad for him that his fate is already decided as a nobody and a never-will-be. Not his fault he has to follow one of the all-time top 5 greats. God his HR call sucks. 1) Hawk tries to be cute more than any goddamn announcer not named Stacey King. It's what makes Hawk. 2) God forbid someone trained for the job got hired. We should bring in Frank Thomas or Scott Podsednik or Aaron Rowand. 3) We need more insight into Ted Williams and Yaz. 4) You have no idea how he'll be remembered. It's his first month on the job. Let him grow into it. 5) Hawk stopped being an all-time great a long time ago. This is like saying the Bulls next point guard has to follow one of the greatest Bulls of all-time. 6) His home run call does suck.
  18. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 11:57 PM) I believe I am on the record in previous year's threads as saying very early I felt we would get Rodon and then Fulmer, and they both happened. Rodon was a big shock (When I said it, consensus slam dunk #1), although I think Fulmer was projected withing range of the Sox pick, maybe around #5 though. Corey Ray, as of now, seems around the Rodon likelihood, but probably not as likely as Fulmer was. It means nothing obviously, but I want to be on record for the 3rd straight year. I don't know why I agree with this, because it shouldn't happen, but maybe Rick Hahn has kidnapped a leprechaun.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 05:43 PM) Sprained knee for Curry and he will have an MRI tomorrow. That did not look good at all.
  20. But weren't we supposed to be swept?
  21. I was wondering this the other day: Is Adrian Beltre one of the most underrated players of all time?
  22. God damn that throw by Saladino.
