  1. God damnit I'm getting excited for the real #TheReturn
  2. Damn, hopefully Saladino has a quick recovery.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 28, 2014 -> 10:22 AM) Back in April did anyone think that the board would freak out because Moises Sierra wasn't used as a pinch hitter with the game on the line? I wouldn't know who Moises Sierra is.
  4. Jesus. Can he keep having lucky weeks?
  5. Maybe he'll pull a Rondon and improve after promotion.

    7/27 Games

    Rondon 2-4 with a walk out of the 2-spot. This is confusing.
  7. I might have trusted Dayan's arm more there.
  8. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jul 27, 2014 -> 02:55 AM) Saying what? That he may be a top 10 pitcher in the AL right now? Look at how ridiculous his slider is! Strikeouts galore! 1.88 ERA! "But he's on the White Sox so therefore, this will be all you hear about him for 6 weeks."
  9. ESPN is even on the Sale train right now.

    QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 26, 2014 -> 09:29 PM) Enough about the crappy DC movie. GOTG has 26 reviews on rotten tomatoes..100%.
  11. Sale isn't an ace until he gets to the playoffs.
  12. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 25, 2014 -> 02:40 PM) Yeah, it's awesome how the NFL takes young people, pays them to run into each other headfirst at full speed for like three years, and then then kicks them to the curb after they start showing symptoms of permanent disability, leaving them to fend for themselves without any career skills as they deal with worsening symptoms of chronic brain damage. I think the NFL system is stupid. I think that if a team signs a player to a deal, that contract is obligated to be finished. Otherwise NFL players should just be able to look at their team's record and go "Oh, we were 4-12 this year, I'm opting out."

    I believe I'm on the list, but if not sign me up for Rock's Rumors.
  14. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jul 25, 2014 -> 09:15 PM) "Band Box", AAA, and every other attempt to minimize Wilkin's amazing streak aside, this is unbelievable. I don't ever remember hearing about any hitter in professional baseball, hitting 10 homers in 11 consecutive games, and hitting for the kind of average he is, as well. Actually, I just looked it up and the major-league record of 10 home runs over seven days set by Frank Howard of the Washington Senators in 1968, would top this streak. However, it's still quite remarkable. Read more here: http://www.kansas.com/2012/05/13/2333144_a...l#storylink=cpy This is very intriguing; A left handed power bat to hit behind Abreu. I hope that they find a way to get him in the line up, and see how he adjusts to MLB pitching. I'd really love to know what has caused his sudden emergence as a really serious hitter. He was highly regarded out of college, and did well the first 3 minor league seasons, but did "hit a wall" last year at AAA. There have been comparisons to Jim Thome, as far back as 3 or 4 years ago. He has always been very strong, but has apparently figured a few things out, recently. Does anyone have any insight into what is happening with him? While this is a good point, I still laughed.
  15. Do you think Quintana watches games like this and just feels sad?
  16. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 25, 2014 -> 07:56 PM) Promote him, he's old. Meanwhile, #26 for Wilkins.
  17. Taj had a friend pass away after suffering a heart attack. Damn. And we're not trading Taj unless we get Love.
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 25, 2014 -> 10:21 AM) Hawkins has that power. And supposedly Avi has more than Abreu. Viciedo when he was a prospect was seen as a 40 HR guy.
