  1. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 11:30 PM) I enjoyed it. It may be because I've seen the clip used so often, to me it's become stale.
  2. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 11:20 PM) Wasn't really that funny. That clip is used way more effectively most of the time.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 10:40 PM) I do agree with Marty on this. For all the people who have written off this upcoming season and say the Sox have no chance (which I'd agree with if Hahn doesn't make another deal or two), why even pitch Sale? Why risk it? Put him on ice so to speak for a full season and just save him until the team is ready to win. I mean what can he possibly gain from more wear and tear on the arm? If this season is just a "get a ton of at bats for Abreu, Eaton, Davidson, Semien, Phegs, Garcia, Viciedo campaign" why risk Sale's health til the team actually needs him? Sale already knows all there is to know about pitching. Any innings in a season we don't contend risk his long term health, right?? I prefer Hahn make another move or 2 and try to contend this year. Cause Sale can continue improving and stuff. And resting him a year would be awful for his arm when he returns.
  4. f*** LeBron. He's been on my team's rivals his whole career. I'd cheer the f*** out of him in a Bulls uniform
  5. QUOTE (flavum @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 04:33 PM) Projecting a high school pitcher being in the rotation with John Danks? Yeah, no. My guess is it'd be more like Sale-Quintana-Johnson-2 of Danish/Beck/Kolek
  6. f*** it, he's gonna be the Rookie of the Year over Tanaka. All-Star each year of his deal. He'll make Puig's numbers look pedestrian. The Grantland article said even for league adjustment, his numbers blew Miguel Cabrera out of the water. So let's use him as a base. .320/.430/.600 slashline with 40+ HR. JDFA
  7. Maybe Paulino/Surkamp/Rienzo turn into something this year. Maybe a version of first year Humber (who we should then promptly trade). Maybe Beck, Danish or possibly Kolek/Hoffman turns into a big thing. We can afford to wait.
  8. I'd want Kolek over turner simply because I have more confidence in the Sox turning Kolek into an ace than Turner into Jose Reyes 2.0 But I'd love either if they hit their ceiling.

    Public floggings for DUIs. That'll get em.
  10. Sox had a bunch of can't miss prospects in 2000 and were set to contend for years with that young core.
  11. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 12:24 AM) I don't like that Herb was used as an insult.
  12. f*** it. The Tank is dead. Let's do this.
  13. Please let Hard Knocks pick the Bears. Olivet would hate that and I hate Olivet. It'd be perfect.
  14. I'm confident that EJ can match Hector and a healthy Danks can match Peavy.
  15. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 02:06 PM) Yeah well Mark Grace drives drunk and Sammy Sosa used steroids. And I'm arguing in facts! Prince Fielder was making $4M/year with the Tigers according to him. Also, the Cubs have the best minor league system and are thus setup because they're all sure fire hits. Abreu, Garcia, EJ, Semien, Webb, Davidson, and Eaton are all likely to fail.
  16. I think Rick signs a RHP now that the Tanaka Saga is over.
  17. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 01:35 PM) He's a cubs fan. You really don't need to say anything to him. Sadly, he's in my multimedia sports class.
  18. Just had a Cubs fan tell me Sox were never in on Tanaka, Sox have the worst front office in baseball, have done nothing to improve their MLB team or farm system the past five years, Sale's contract is worthless if they don't trade him. Cubs were a playoff team with Tanaka and Tigers signed Joba for the same amount they used to pay Fielder. f***ing idiot.
  19. Am I the only one that became a Sherman fan after that game? I want the Broncos to win, but I like Sherman now.
  20. QUOTE (glangon @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 03:44 AM) If Tanaka was to sign with the White Sox, I'm salivating over the rotation for next year. Sale Tanaka Quintana Danks Johnson I think we could go toe to toe with most rotations in the AL if we sign Tanaka. The only one that I would say is better going in would be the Tigers, but that could very easily change depending on how Tanaka and EJ adapt to the MLB and how Danks recovers.
  21. I'd be happy with Kolek or Turner. I'd feel safer with the Sox drafting Kolek though.
  22. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 09:45 PM) I'm way more curious where each rank in their league. Everyone knows that the NL is harder for pitchers.
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 09:21 PM) Durant is quite average. That man ain't human.

    QUOTE (flavum @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 08:55 PM) Dunn is going to 44 Davidson 22 Eaton 1 http://mlb.mlb.com/team/roster_40man.jsp?c_id=cws http://mlb.mlb.com/team/roster_nri.jsp?c_id=cws Dunn's return to #44 will bring his numbers up.
  25. QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 08:56 PM) Can Joakim fill in at PG? He would will his way to success This would be the greatest thing ever.
