  1. Somehow it would all backfire. The Sox always seemed to be cursed by injuries. It' hard to for Sox fans to divorce the idea of trades. That's the disease of the habitual losing small market organization. Bad organizations talk trades, winners talk signing players.
  2. I guess that prediction would be based on the foolishness of Getz.
  3. Don't these things happen quite a bit in all of baseball?
  4. The local media are not allowed to ask such things. The biggest chore is for the media to give them any attention unless it involves ridicule.
  5. I guess they were hoping to get the same guy when Cease had that great year. He was good but got hurt. He's been injured to much at his age to make a comeback. Career starters don't make good pen guys either. Sox always gambling that .0001% will happen.
  6. There are plenty of teams that look bad but not White Sox bad.
  7. Watching the farm systems are more interesting. It about development over wins and losses. The better farm teams do have more wins though.
  8. Did you not watch during most of the KW era?
  9. Since it's the White Sox that ruins it for me. Maybe I can find a game in MiLB instead.
  10. That's how agents make money.
  11. Yes it's called being in the lower part of the order behind a kick ass lineup. That fixes a lot of hitters.
  12. I can't imagine what it is like for a manager trying to answer questions. It'd be easy to say "we suck and have to deal with it". Reinsdorf needs to be out of professional sports.
  13. There's the difference. MLB is not like the other sports.
  14. I'm not sure this toxicity will be removed in my lifetime. I don't think the fan base will ever be restored outside of a World Series.
  15. He's not done. Wait till the trade deadline.
  16. I'm all for trying someone new. I'd risk new is better.
  17. When they had them it's either injury or very deficient in everything else.
  18. Doesn't support the reason for keeping Katz.
  19. No he doesn't. Next comes a trade that will benefit him and an organization while the Sox will pile up more Vargas type players.
  20. I still don't understand the fascination with Katz. Cease, Crochet, maybe Martin, but hardly a resume, The new Daryl Boston.
  21. If you keep whiffing on your first player picked it will set you back a long time. That seems to apply to all pro sports.
  22. It's not then end f the world if he stays there a bit longer. Sox don't want to eat Vaughn's 5 million.
  23. They'll keep him so Getz doesn't look bad at the worst trade he's made so far.
