9/24 Sox vs. Halos 6:40PM - A chance to witness history
So who called for it?

9/24 Sox vs. Halos 6:40PM - A chance to witness history
Which meant they couldn't do anything at last year's trade deadline.

That's a triple or inside the park if it were PCA. This is also the result of piecing together a team where players have rarely played together. It's also dangerous.

It depends what the younger generation of voters do ten years from now. They might even let the roiders in.

it's best when there is no emotional interest.........I use to love watching those Joliet Jackhammers games

Like watching other teams. With the expanded playoffs Sept. is a great time to watch. The 50+ win teams aren't rolling over. You don't want to face the Rockies or Nat'ls.

9/24 Sox vs. Halos 6:40PM - A chance to witness history
Good question. They seem to have lessen the standards of players getting in. I'm not really that much impressed with pitchers in the glass arm era. He hardly had any run support after the all star break. He could have won 200 by now.

Anyone jealous that Kenny and Hahn's manager by be in the postseason? Our current manager was a minimum wage employee. Nothing against him but that's the kind of person you can only get for this job

Sale pitching tomorrow. Gotta watch. It will suck for him if no postseason.

Quero debut this week?
I prefer that kind of "average". He hits homeruns. Fans like that stuff.

Quero debut this week?
We do. That means we will see them again and again Leury Garcia style. Even worse is Getz trying to make 7 team trade that will get rid of one of them to the point we will miss their below average performance.

White Socks stave off 121st loss by not playing
This should been an official game thread

White Socks stave off 121st loss by not playing
Still #MarkedSafeFromWatchingWhiteSoxBaseball Starting to get more involved with the local team that has a pen that reminds me of the Sox. I give their manager credit for daring to keep a successful starter past 6.

Which ex Sox player will go after JR if he releases a John Fisher/Oakland A’s letter and refuses interviews at year’s end?
Concerts for sure. Charity evens not so much. The promises are rarely fulfilled so I stand with myth. It's the same nonsense Casinos use. Maybe the asking price is much to high to use a stadium?

Happy (possible) 121 Day...How are you celebrating?
This is a situation of who are you going to trust whey it comes who will have the better level of incompetence. Angels fail to lose or Sox fail and win.

Most of those aren't major revenue events. What I mentioned before is the game owners play to politicians The reason why is there is no penalty for failure to produce. That just isn't a sports thing. I guess the solution is governments giving loans instead of funds.

The only fix is an expansion team and it becomes a winner. The Colts had a long NFL history of greatness and it became the Reinsdorfs of the NFL into the 80's. Most of the fans from the Unitas generation are into their 80's so the younger generations have no clue of the Baltimore Colts. Oakland seems to lose its sport teams. LA wasn't great with NFL teams. I guess in CA it's hard for a MLB franchise to compete with 3 other teams. I think Vegas is going to be a long term mistake. I think it's more of an experiment. They way baseball is going with enough bad owners I think the WNBA will be more popular than MLB. If the Sox weren't such a soap opera how much media coverage would they get?

That's why owners don't want to use their own money. There's always this so called extra offseason revenue. It's a myth. I'm in eye distance of the AZ Cardinal's stadium. My brother use to work there. There might be an event once a year.

I bet they disappoint today and win. They are playing an organization similar to them with scouting and development

2025 White Sox offseason preview
Extremely fearful. He has displayed the habits of the habitual losing small market organizations. Traded one cost controlled pitcher for nothing. If you are an opposing GM you can think of reason for not giving a mythical haul for Crochet. One is maybe the Sox know something that may not be a successful 2nd season since no real GM is going to give up a cost controlled pitcher. If an organization is not good at identifying and developing talent no trades in the world are going to make them better. Baseball is a trade frenzy sport and results are often ignored that the percentages of them working out are slim. Yet we are so conditioned to that mindset. So often those trades just become more trades. There's this mythical logic of getting rid of a player because the team wont be any good. So when is it established a team will be good? Rely on farm and prospect rankings? Being a successful ML franchise is extremely hard.

2025 White Sox offseason preview
#FindANewTeam Don't all of the teams not owned by Reinsdorf try to follow the Rays model? Yet so few actually achieve that. Competitive is a vague word these days. I guess the Reds and Pirates are competitive until the trade deadline and offseason. The habitual losing teams always buys over the hill lightning in a bottle free agents with the intention of trading them. Then they are stuck with them if they are really bad. No team scores on those returns. Sure you can have stud starters but they only work every 5 days. MLB draft picks are not like the other sports and a higher risk. Sometimes it more luck than scouting. You need that stud everyday player. When you consistently failed like the Sox have with their 1st round it sets you back longer than 5 years. I like them some label prospects as lottery picks. They only problem with other teams prospects if they went through a differently philosophy and how long will it be that they unlearn those things. I wonder if Sox fans really have patience where the owner is a small market wannabe. Once again few teams have successful rebuilds and there is also luck that comes with. I don't know if a Sox fans could deal with another 5 years of being bad and it could be longer than that. The bad luck is having injury prone players. I often wonder if retooling is better than rebuilding.

Sox @ SD Game Thread (9/21) Not Needed; Sox Still Suck
God organizations aren't willing to give up real prospects. The Vargas type are a dime a dozen and Getz proved he can easily be fleeced.

Still lose games if you can't score 3 runs
