The Athletic: Must Read article on Jerry Reinsdorf/White Sox
True. I had no idea what he was doing. Someone musta got TLR confused with Thome.

Sox @SD game thread
They do so many things well but their record doesn't always show it. That's going back to last season.

Sox fans have seen enough...
Signing Fisk and Luzinski was proof of that. Players from winning organizations were under more pressure. So often I've felt the Sox were mentally weak. More unclutch than clutch.

That same approach with pitching can also create a 90 loss season. Give AJ credit for wanting to win every game. Getz would be all anxious to trade Skubal. I hope the next step the Tigers take is to spend some money.

I guess it's easy to say if you never walked in those shoes. It's not as easy to change your livelihood.

How is he useful?

That's not gonna happen. Getz is probably his new son.

Anyone else surprised the Padres are blanked so far

LOL! That requirement is to be good at baseball so Birmingham can be better.

Sox fans have seen enough...
With the fear of the same cast not being there next season. All it takes is for a player to want a contract extension or use Boras and Getz will get back to making Birmingham better or trying to improve good farm system rejects. The issue is trust, not victories. We know how this plays out.

I am. The only interest in this team is the drama.

Sox fans have seen enough...
How will that be measured? I think Reinsdorf has no credibility left. Fans want him hone more than anything else. If the won 100 games next year it wont change because he has a history of ruining success. #FindANewTeam

Sox trying to fix Vargas
The only plan in this organization is to suck at baseball and destroy a fanbase. The latter is what Reinsdorf is consistent at.

Let me know when you walk in those shoes. I don't think it's as easy as we think.

To me it seems like he had a boss that didn't listen. That's why JR hired Getz. He didn't want to hear the faults interviewing others.

I'll never know unless I walked in those shoes. Ng is the only one I know of that walked away from a Reinsdorf type situation. What's odd is former execs don't seem to get hired.

Rick Hahn Apology Thread
Long ago there was an article the he was highly paid as an Ass't GM. Reinsdorf didn't want to lose him to a GM job. Unfortunately you can't predict injury. We like to blame the players or conditioning but yet those teams that are better still have injuries. No serious prospects were given up at the trade deadline. My theory is farms are more valuable in filling in for injured players. The Dodgers go through their share of injuries and still remain on top. Unfortunately that becomes a wall in the post season. When I think of Moncada he is just a victim of bad health. Some of these injuries will keep you from a good player. How many can remember the player Greg Walker was going to be until he got hepatitis. But most of the draft picks have been in the WTF category. They need to hit on a Witt Jr type player. But Reinsdorf won't pay him and Getz will trade him to make Birmingham better. I'm not sure Vargas could make it in Birmingham.

It's what we already know. It just needed to be revealed on planet Earth,

Can't see why they wouldn't. Just new ownership alone will bring in fans. We are past success will make people forgive Reinsdorf.

Sox looking at building in South Loop
Somehow it's a gamble that this utopia will hide the s%*# products JR puts out. He wants a billion dollars but doesn't put any money in the team. He is not one to be trusted. If it's such a great investment he shouldn't have any problem using his own money. What billionaires do best is trying to put the risk off on the taxpayer.

They also share the same facilities. Maybe they saw something the Dodgers missed? The word on the street for GMs must be Getz can be fleeced. Schriffen on the post game said Sox should consider trades with Oakland. When has that ever worked?
