QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 12, 2015 -> 11:00 AM) Wouldn't shock me to see Shark resigned and see Fulmer go the same route Rodon goes, so come midseason 2016 you have your rotation locked up for years to come. But how do you upgrade at catcher/SS/3B without moving a guy like Quintana?

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 03:53 PM) Discussing it is pointless because the odds of that happening are almost zero. It's too risky for both sides. The only Cubs prospect not on their current roster who I'd be remotely interested in as a return for Quintana is Schwarber. -

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 03:47 PM) They were discussing our pitching staff and what we could give them in help for their playoff run. Ofcourse Shark was the name they did mention Q too. Haha...If they want Q they better realize they'll be saying bye-bye to some of those "core players" of the Cubs' future. -

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 03:44 PM) Those knuckleheads yesterday were talking about the Sox aiding the Cubs playoff run with some trades yesterday. Made me miss Hawk actually. What do you mean by that? -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 8, 2015 -> 12:11 PM) If a team already has a "replacement" they don't need LaRoche. I think he was saying that if the Sox have their eye on a guy who could be a better fit at DH and is hitting free agency after 2015, they can cut their losses by trading LaRoche now and going after said guy this winter.

Weren't the Sox supposed to wear '76 throwbacks this month, too? I read that on Uni-Watch.

Since this team is pretty much out of it, I don't mind the Sox losing these games. No reason to want to help the Cubs out in any way.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 10:44 PM) Carlos Correa is pretty good, haha. Don't think he can catch Bryant and Pederson for NLROY, though. Are the Astros still in the NL?

This might be a stupid question, but are women permitted to play in MLB? -
It would be nice if Melky got one of those hits with runners in scoring position.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 21, 2015 -> 09:00 AM) What I'd ask for for Quintana: MLB ready C, MLB ready 3B, and an MLB ready starter. For Sale: that, plus say 2-4 other prospects. So for Quintana that would be: Schwarber (assuming he can stick at that position), Castro/Baez and Kyle Hendricks?

QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 08:00 PM) Kyle Schwarber . . . home run. Looks good up there, really good. Also, not a chance he can stick in the outfield, competently. So, if he can't play catcher (and he can't yet), he's strictly a DH. They don't have those in the National League. So this will be interesting. Oh, I'm sure MLB will bend to the Cubs' will and bring the DH to the NL soon, since just about everything else has gone the Cubs' way this year.

Small sample size but all of the Cubs big name prospects have looked like winners so far. It really makes this organization look pathetically inadequate.

Looking for photos of a very specific White Sox fashion jersey...

...Anyone? -
Hi everyone, I'm trying to find photos of a specific Sox fashion jersey that I've seen worn at games frequently but have been unable to find anywhere online. The best description I can give is that it's a cream version of their early 1900s jersey with the arched navy blue "Chicago" lettering similar to their '76 jerseys. The jersey has navy and red trim and I believe also has the outline of Illinois either on the front of the jersey or one of the sleeves. Any help with this would be fantastic. Thanks!

Nice inning for Drabek. I'm really pulling for this kid.

Look at what the Cubs just gave up to get Dexter Fowler from Houston. Are you meaning to tell me Hahn couldn't match that to get Castro?
