  1. c'mon lets not be a bunch of quitters. Circle the wagons and fight.
  2. If winning a championship is the true litmus test then Rays have ZERO championships and the Dodgers have the same as the white Sox (ONE) since 1988.
  3. The Cubs? Maybe you are on the wrong board. The Cubs won one in 2016. The sox won one in 2005. They got one we got one. The only difference? The White Sox didn't go 108 years between championships. A record that will never be broken.
  4. No you won't
  5. As long as JR owns the team we must live with his choices. Its a take it or leave it. Getz would probably be next up. Maybe not all bad. A midwestern guy. A former major leaguer. Familiar with the organization on multiple levels. He has been groomed. Remember its not our choice its JR's. Who would he chose that would be better?
  6. OK prepare to rip me apart. Its only April. It looks bad but there is talent here. There have been teams rise from the dead much later in the season. Lets not give up. The teams in our division can be had. Anderson is the spark and hopefully Liam will be back. Keep your chins up boys. f***'em lets fight. Lets go, go go White Sox
  7. As soon as he wakes up and sobers up he will call........could be a while.
  8. Yep. So far so good, but let him get around the league once. Seems as if he is already getting more off speed pitches in the dirt. If he chases........well he will have to adjust. Refreshing though to see a real outfielder in right. Left and center too this season.
  9. If he asked today he would need to speak Spanish.
  10. Lets see, Al Lopez a winner but not so well liked by his players, Eddie Stanky universally detested in MLB circles, Ozzie excommunicated, Joe Gerardi considered a jerk. So who fits that mold? A.J Pierzinski is up next.
  11. I guess I'm just venting. Like everyone on this site I'm frustrated. I realize times change. I still believe, however, young men respond to discipline. They need and want to be led. So if they don't respond and we finish 4th or 5th, what's the difference from finishing third?
  12. Isn't it enough the team has made most of these unproven players multi millionaires? Does the manager have to handle them like fragile flowers. What ever happened to a hard ass manager? Maybe a Joe Gerardi or Ozzie Guillen type. Produce or sit. You sit you don't get your precious stats. You're hurt again? You go on the 60day dl. See how that affects your star status.
  13. Phillies looking to get well on Sox pen.
  14. In todays world lucky no one got shot.
  15. The biggest contribution Bummer can give us is going back on the DL
  16. Yeah I guess standing in left field can really tire out a young strong athlete. Ridiculous
  17. So if for some mystery reason Benintendi can not play and Hasely is up then why sheets in left?
  18. So why sheets in left and Benitendi sitting? I stil don't get it.
  19. Sheets in left instead of Benintendi? I don't get it.
  20. Grandal is showing dedication and commitment . Maybe some of the same dedication would help Jimenez and Robert stop chasing that low outside slider. 10 walks. 2 with bases loaded, How long before Katz is on the hot seat. Grifol did not hire him. And oh yeah, it was nice to win. don't stop now boys
  21. We are gonna need a lot of runs before we turn it over to the bullpen
  22. The bullpen is horrible. Diekman and Bummer make my stomach churn with every ball they throw, You could bring a fan in from the stands and get the same result (a loss). TLR saw this team for what it was and quit on them. He and (Leury Garcia) became scapegoats. Jose Abreu had enough. There is just something about these players that make them unlikeable. I've been a Sox fan forever and can never remember needing to force myself to watch games. It's more agony than pleasure. It should be fun. I noticed when Burger homered last night that the dugout responded happily. Except for Jimenez. He never even picked his head up to see what happened. But he does wear bright red shoes. They match Moncada's fluorescent green look nicely. They are all about themselves and not team players. As Hawk Harrelson said " you don't get off the island without the stats"
  23. How about a winning streak? Remember those?
