GT: 4/1 | Sox (1-1) @ Astros (1-1) | Giolito vs. Urquidy
Robert is saving us in the field. Killing us at the plate. Vaughn is hitting but cant play defense. I think Robert and Benny need to drop in the batting order, and Vaughn Moncada need to move up.

Yep.............. I also felt the defensive plays by Bregman and Tucker changed the momentum.- 3/31 GT: Sox @ Astros (Lynn v Javier) 7PM, NBCSN
Is it so necessary to have a left hander? The Astros have all right handers in a very good pen.- 3/31 GT: Sox @ Astros (Lynn v Javier) 7PM, NBCSN
His back acting up already?- Hawk did not retire
Hawk was never an objective broadcaster. He was the ultimate homer. I loved that about him. Even he is now crappin on the Sox? Something has gone sour in this organization.- Time to give this Sox team a chance
As always the chance of your team involves the chances of your competition. 1. Maybe it's Cleveland's turn for the injury bug. If their pitching staff ( both bullpen and starters) put people on the dl they are in a world of trouble. I see Mckenzie is already down. Can Kwan repeat or sophomore jinx? For that matter Francona has had health issues too. They played over their heads last year, and beat up on weak and injured division opponents. May they rot in hell this season. 2.Tigers don't know which way is up 3.Royals may be better than expected but not in it for the long haul of 162. 4. Twins were decimated with injuries last year. They did not do much to improve over the off season. They have a solid team. Dangerous. Maybe weak in the pitching department, but if Buxton stays healthy and the shift rules improve Gallo they should be very tough. 5. Everyone on this site knows the Sox as well or better than I do so no review required. I'll just say if LaRussa was the problem he is gone. If the injury jinx passes the Sox over, the White Sox should compete for the division at least.- Who are the 4 bench players for the Sox?
Zavala Sheets Garcia Hasely- 4-19 GT: Sox @ Boston (10:10am)
Not confusing. They are back to sign stealing.- 4-19 GT: Sox @ Boston (10:10am)
Boston clearly knew what pitch was coming. They had the signs. Cora has a history.- AJP to DL w/ fractured wrist
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 04:27 PM) Hey, give the guy some credit - he HAS kept us in it. (too soon?) Because of him or despite him?- AJP to DL w/ fractured wrist
I know I have been pounding on this a lot lately, but here we go again. Let them pitch inside against us. Even let them put our best players out {Konerko,A.J.}, but don't retaliate. This is a result of no fear about pitching inside and even hitting Sox players. Next time we play the Royals Cabrerra and Butler get knocked down if not out. Please Ozzie no more wimpy baseball.- 3.5 Games Out

Delmon Young traded from Twins to Tigers. Since the trade deadline passed does this mean he cleared waivers?- White Sox home winner!
They are off tomorrow.- White Sox home winner!
The Sox will not go under .500 tomorrow,guaranteed!- Changes Looming If No Postseason
So what if the Sox make the playoffs but not the World Series? I would welcome Ozzie gone no matter what. There will be no rebuild old man Riensdorf doesn't have time for that. Larussa will not want that either. Larussa will not be so expensive, him and JR go way back and can work out something. Where Larussa goes Duncan goes. Where Larussa goes winning happens. Like him or not.- 2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
Flowers and Lillibridge both in the starting lineup. Both came over from the Braves in the Javier Vazquez trade right. Maybe that trade was ok after all.- 2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
Konerko is still hurting, Pierzinski is still out, the batters can't cover outside, over, and inside the plate. The opposing pithchers can keep them off the plate and then we are susceptible to the outside pitch. Beckham was hit last year and still can't cover the outside pitch, because they might throw in again and hit him. The opponents have no worry about the same happening to them, but yeah we get a guy on first when they don't care about it.- 2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
Another batter hit and again no retaliation. Pitch inside all you want to the White Sox. Your guys are safe. The Sox never retaliate.- White Sox vs. Royals
Another Sox batter hit. Why not? Pitch inside all you want against the White Sox they never retaliate!- Why does Ozzie motivate opponents more than SOX?
QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Aug 13, 2011 -> 09:24 AM) Ozzie shouldn't have to tell his pitchers to retaliate. The pitchers should have enough f***ing balls to protect their team mates without having to be told. Maybe they are told not to.- 2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
I gotta kick this dead horse again. Our guys getting hit and opposing pitchers throwing inside, and the Sox never protect by plunking opposing batters. A.J. hurt by Chen last night. No wonder Chen [and so many others] have success against the Sox, they have the whole plate plus inside and outside to work with. No fear of retaliation from our all talk no action manager. A.J. gets hit, Butler gets hit. No discussion its just done. let the catcher think about it when he calls for an inside pitch. When he is at bat he is at risk. - 3/31 GT: Sox @ Astros (Lynn v Javier) 7PM, NBCSN
