As much as I like DJ it is impossible to expect honesty from a man in his position. He has been a broadcaster for the Sox for 17 years. He played for them. He travels with the team. His paychecks come from them. How could he possibly say any thing like " they suck and as long as management is who it is i don't see them ever getting very good". I expect him to be biased. He should be biased, but he can not speak truly honestly, he just can't. So take it for what it is. Another Sox fluff piece.

Jerry Reinsdorf would not own a MLB franchise and be a billionare if he wasn't a smart man, but with 10 million (10million!) people in the chicago metro area he could be a lot smarter and a lot richer if he wasnt so small minded. Misplaced loyalty and vindictive grudges have held him back from owning this town. Even with Michael Jordan's legacy he is the most hated, instead of the most loved, man in Chicago. Didn't Baldwin originally come up as a seond baseman? How about him at first base? He is tall and played the right side of the infield. He can't be any worse than Sosa or Vargas at first base. Teel and Quero as catchers one and two. Bye Bye Lee. Braden Mongomery in left field? Sosa and Beni platoon at DH. Vargas at third. Robert in center. Good arm and glove. Take what he gives with the bat. Strong up the middle with Teel,Meidroth,Colson and Robert.

You can't have Sosa, Vargas, Baldwin, and Beni all playing left. I'm afraid Vargas is simply the third baseman. Baldwin at first base? Beni and Sosa DH? Perhaps Braden Montgomery in left?

Although he was a good addition for 2025, I'm glad he won't be back.

"C" His hands were tied to a large degree. He made some good moves, some bad. I like his vision of the type of team he wants. He has built a strong "up the middle" With Teel,Miedroth, Colson and Robert. Still a long ways to go, but the next wave of youth is on the way. Still though a "C".

Just throw out every loss and they are undefeated! They are what they're record is....terrible.

Genuine progress? Anyway you spin it, this is three (Three!!) 100 loss seasons in a row. I find it hard to celebrate anything at this point.
