We have hope, we got The Pope!
Last night there truly were Angels in the outfield.

Yankees acquire Austin Slater for RHP Gage Ziehl
Slater turned out to be a pretty good hitter, but of course not a long time fit for the Sox. Its hard to complain about Getz on signing him or the return for trading him.

Bullpen Moves
Taylor is eaxactly the type of player we would want to get for the rebuild. Thing is, we already have him. Just keep him.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Robert out of the lineup again. So boys what is it? Injury or likely Trade?

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Why is he not in the lineup tonight?

Buehrle should be in the Hall of Fame
If he played for the Yankees all those years he played for the White Sox he'd already be in.

The Current Core
Quero,Teel, Cannon,Taylor....Yes Sosa,(bad glove) Baldwin(utility), Miedroth...........probable Burke,Vargas........questionable Montgomery....incomplete sample size I'll throw Elko in there as he has been up a couple of times.....Hopeful but doubtful

The Future of the White Sox TV Broadcast Team
Shriffen is so bad Stone wants out every chance he gets. The radio team is much better.

Crochet Trade Outcome Tracker
Sale.Cease,Rodon,Crochet, Bassitt. Not a bad starting 5. What did we get in return?

How to fix Shane Smith and Vargas
When was the last time Miedroth got a legit hit? Quero maybe the only CORE player we have going forward.

Elko up, Baldwin to IL
I like Baldwin as a super utility player. A Jack of all trades ( run, hit, throw, field, good instincts) but master of none. Elko has a good glove and a history of clutch hitting, if there is such a thing, but with 3 k's today, looking bad, I'm beginning to wonder if he is 4A. Stick with him a little longer but, c'mon man, make some contact.

Trading Deadline
Helping the northsiders win is just bad for business.

White Sox with roughly a 10% chance to win division/make playoffs
I'm not embarrassed to keep hope alive. 4.5 back on 6/10 is not time to quit. Quitting is easy and quitters never win. GO SOX!

GT 6/10: MIA @ SOX, 1:10 pm CT, NBCSC, MLBN
Everyone's comments have pretty much on target. It hurt to lose it in the 9th. You can hope for a shutout and to win 1-0, but scoring 1 run will catch up to you sooner or later. Go get'em tomorrow.

White Sox with roughly a 10% chance to win division/make playoffs
10% hope is better than hopeless

That's a White Sox Walk Off Winner !

GT 6/9: MIA @ SOX, 7:10 pm CT, NBCSC
Sheez! Who are these guys? They are Miami frigging Marlins. We are in Chicago. The weather is perfect. The team is heating up. We are 3.5 outta first. You're hoping for one?? You may be right but going into it expecting to lose two out of three sounds defeatist. I'm sure you will be happier when the Sox win the series. Lets Go White Sox!!

I forgot about that.

6/8 Sox @ Yankees Doubleheader Game 2 6:35PM CT
I didn't watch the second game. What was with that lineup? We had a chance to sweep. Should have went the "A" lineup. These guys need wins more than rest. Coddle them like babies and they act that way.

Lance Lynn
Maybe he will have a good second half. Could happen.

This Day In Sox History...June 7
I was at the game where there was a fire. I seem to remember it being in leftfield. A lot of smoke and a stadium full of people. I don't remember panic but it was frightening. if there was a stampede it would have been a disaster for the ages. My wife and I got out of Sox Park fast. It all calmed down pretty quick, but the sight of smoke and flames in a crowded stadium has stuck with me forever.
