Been busy the last weekend so haven't had any chance to tune into any college ball. Exciting that my alma mater ISU is going to Vanderbilt this weekend, shame I can't see any of it. (poor internet makes streaming tough, plus I don't think I get SEC Network+) Looks like the only game on TV tomorrow is Mississippi State and Arizona. Worth watching? Any tips on guys to watch?

Unfortunately it looks like this Tumblr won't get updated anymore (though looks like he'll still update the Twitter), but it isn't spring without Bad Spring Training Twitpics. Hilarious stuff.

Yeah, I think wRC+ is the way to go here. I also think he will probably take a bit of a drop. In terms of first half Abreu vs second half Abreu, if we get either one I'll be very happy. It was great to see his average and his on base take such a big leap in the second half of the season, even if his home run rate dropped.

When Kenny subs in for him like he did Monday, it's an entirely different show. I find it hilarious that he's the regular stand-in, because he makes the show completely different and invites on guys who actually analyze baseball. It's great for Kenny to have a show where he doesn't have to constantly defend analytics. It's what made Clubhouse Confidential (RIP) a great show. MLB Now pales in comparison. It's better than the original Kenny/Reynolds format, but there's still too many cheap shots/clueless former players on there.

Farmer also often calls the action in past tense, which is kind of irritating to a pedant like me.

Also of local interest to follow in this draft--the Kane County Cougars are now an affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, who have the first pick. Will be cool if we get to see a first overall pick play in the area.

College ball neophyte here, thinking about getting into it a bit to tide me over until Opening Day. Can someone explain the concept of "Friday pitchers" and "weekend rotations" to me?
