White Sox sign Gio Gonzalez
I’m ok with this. They could have done much, much worse. Really hope this isn’t the only move for SP.

Sox In on Lindor? Crackpot Rumor?
Agreed. I don’t see the Sox moving on from Anderson, or giving up the amount of talent it would take to get Lindor at a position that doesn’t need to be addressed at the moment.

Sox In on Lindor? Crackpot Rumor?
He probably means Matthew Thompson, last years 2nd round pick. He’s a 19 yr. old starter.

Sox In on Lindor? Crackpot Rumor?
This appears to be in reference to the Lindor to the Sox trade posted by StinkBob or whatever his handle is. I don’t think this guy knows a thing. Seems like he wants to believe him because the same guy tweeted something about Cole and the Yankees and the $$$ and it ended up true.

Detwiler back on a minor league deal
Sox have done this the past few seasons with other guys. Donn Roach was brought back twice, so was Chris Volstad prior. I think they just like bringing back guys that they know have good work ethics and know what to expect.

Eno Sarris Biggest Remaining MLB Needs And How To Fill Them - CWS
Signing Keuchel is something I’d be fine with. He’s not a sexy signing, but he solidifies the back end of the rotation. Sox need a vet that can help mentor their young starters, and Keuchel is one of the pitchers that helped unlock Cole’s potential on the Astros.

Sox and Sawks to see if the Price is Right
It's really unfortunate that Burdi, Dunning, Lambert, Burger, Adolfo, and Basabe were all either hurt for most of the season or completely out of commission. That's a lot of potential trade chips that are unproven and all coming off injuries. Leaves such a select few amount of resources to work with via trades.

Not a chance.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
- Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
Wheeler absolutely has risk. But I’d bet more on the 33 year old with husky build having more issues in the near future.- Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
Ryu has much more risk than Wheeler IMO.- Delmonico is not yet done
As a professional athlete, I’m sure he is used to his fair share of criticism regardless of where it comes from. These guys have been dealing with haters their whole professional career. Personally, I don’t get why you’d want to go out of your way and personally attack a player directly, but some people find the need to do so, especially on Twitter as it gives those keyboard warriors a platform. Delmonico has been incredibly meh for the Sox, but I totally like the guy as I’ve met him in the past. He’s extremely nice, just sucks at baseball at the major league level.- Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
And next offseason they will come up with some other bullshit that they can’t spend money because Gio and Moncada will need to be retained and they need the space to prepare for that. Jerry absolutely knows what he is doing.- Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread
Seems like the Mets are out. Seeing some tweets that the Phillies are close.- Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
Knowing the Sox (if they are even bothering) they will offer a ridiculous incentive laden deal.- 2020-21 Free Agents (yuck!)
I didn't realize they have that much money coming off the books, so that probably means they will keep him. If for some reason he was available, I would hope the Sox are all over him.- Wade Miley to Cinci
Kenny always gets his guy!- 2020-21 Free Agents (yuck!)
I'd be happy with (in order): Stroman Ray Paxton- Wade Miley to Cinci
C'mon, he isn't going to throw Covey under the bus. He knows same as everyone else that Covey is a dumpster fire option for the rotation. Probably trying to be nice to his son's co-worker.- Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
Man, that's just sad. I don't think the Sox are at all in on him. If they were and Rosenthal heard something, he wouldn't have forgotten to add them in 4 minutes after his first tweet.- Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
It would be funny if he did sign here still. I bet both would claim they had it first.- Kluber deep in the heart of Texas
Clase is a much better option/prospect than Victor Diaz. Diaz only threw really hard. Clase has unreal movement on his pitches. There's a lot to like from him. Is it enough to make him the centerpiece for Kluber? Most likely no.- Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
I think you could apply this to all front offices in some manner. We're just so used to seeing it for so long with the same people in place. Is being cocky better or worse than being indecisive? Both probably have their positives and negatives. - Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
