  1. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Nov 25, 2015 -> 01:29 PM) Hahn saved $300,000 which he can use to ............................................ Get a better haircut??
  2. Eaton seems like he is one of the "young core" guys... which is why they extended him. Trading him would seem to go against what the Sox have stated publically the plan is for building the team. But, stranger things have happened.
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 16, 2015 -> 02:00 PM) I don't hate Cub players. Just the fans. Very much yes. And not "all" of them either. I have some very close friends that I've known my whole life that are high on sports right now. More power to them. 2005 was super fun as a Sox fan. And those friends of mine were very complimentary of the Sox in 2005. As much as I hate the stereotypical Cubs fan, and the way the media trips over themselves to embellish the franchise... I am silently rooting for the Cubs just so those aforementioned close friends can experience what we got to experience in 2005. And on a side note, if the Cubs do go on to win the ALCS or even World Series, does that put any pressure on the Sox to maybe rethink things a little? Am I thinking too much?
  4. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 01:03 PM) Zobrist is far from a "stiff". From reading you posts the past few months, I often wonder if you have any idea what you're talking about. I think this seals it. Can Rick Hahn just trade for 9 Carlos Quentins and call it an off-season???
  5. In other, somewhat White Sox related / trade deadline news, Jordan Danks got called up by the Phillies today to take Ben Revere's roster spot.
  6. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 08:35 AM) Morse isn't on the Dodgers , he's on the Marlins .Don't know if the rest is correct. He was on the Marlins. Then the Marlins traded him to LA and the Dodgers DFA'd him before he had time to clean out his locker in Miami.
  7. He has sweet tattoos though
  8. Justin Sellers is pretty meh.... Dodgers minor league fodder, made the majors 2 seasons ago due to injuries... banished back to minors when MLB players returned.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) No more trades with Oakland, please, unless it's Butler or Semien for LaRoche. You never know, maybe the OP has predicted the future.... https://twitter.com/BNightengale/status/626839516691562496
  10. Avilan is a groundballing lefty that can miss bats - coming off of a down year last year. I was hoping the Sox would go after him. #sadface
  11. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 10:55 AM) Sox send Avi, Courtney Hawkins and Montas to Oak for Reddick. This trade would be immediately followed by a press release announcing Rick Hahn's resignation/firing.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 15, 2015 -> 02:28 PM) If I had to guess, I'd say that Carroll starts a game, then goes back to AAA. Can't. He has to wait 15 days before he can be recalled back to MLB.
  13. Don't worry, y'all.... Once they get back to 500, they'll rattle off a 9-game losing streak. #debbiedowner
  14. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 05:46 PM) I thought Saladino looked at home defensively at 3rd today, I would much rather give him a serious chance at third for the next month or two. Made a couple loud outs on hard hit balls. Eventually, those are going to find holes into the outfield.
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 10:53 AM) Hahn really whiffed on EB. I don't think its all on Hahn. EB whiffed on being good at baseball. After all, he has a big league track record, and it's not like he's old and broken.
  16. The White Sox moved on. We all should too.
  17. Can Rockies players get suspended for smoking dope? Its f***ing legal in their own howntown.
  18. I hope he can regain his old form... before the injury, and strictly based on statistics and WAR, he was one of the top-10 relievers in all of baseball, closers included.
  19. I forgot about 2006 "Punch AJ" also last year's "Target Sale" was awesome. Fudging MLB.com balloting in 2005 with over 100,000 votes for Podsednik (via a JavaScript application) was also a personal highlight.
  20. Every terrible White Sox season since 2005, the team still gives us something to be proud of as fans... and something to remember. 2007: Buehrle's first no-hitter, Bobby Jenks' scoreless streak, Jim Thome's 500th homer. 2008: Carlos Quentin's MVP-caliber season, Alexei's Grand Slam, The Blackout Game, a playoff run. 2009: Mark Buehrle's perfect game and scoreless streak, Gordon Beckham's ROY-caliber season. 2010: 11-game winning streak, almost kind of pretended to be a contender. 2011: Adios, Ozzie! 2012: Phil Humber's perfect game, surprisingly competitive season until a September swoon. 2013: The road to Rodon! 2014: Jose Abreu's amazing MVP-caliber season. 2015: Chris Sale's record-setting Cy Young season. What else am I missing?? This is all off of the top of my head. The point being, despite the terrible season results and lack of playoff appearances, the White Sox still give us something to remember as fans - and even in the face of disappointment, give us something as baseball fans.
  21. I am surprised there hasn't been a "....if AJ was on the team...." thread yet.
  22. He misses Viciedo, probably. Bros4Lyfe
  23. I'm sure the phone is ringing off the hook... They'll be lucky to trade him at all, the gravy would be getting anything of value in return.
  24. Any updates on him? I understand that he is bullpen fodder on a team that has a stable bullpen, but he was pitching really well.
