  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 15, 2016 -> 11:16 AM) Yeah but 9:05 start on a friday? PTTHHHHHPPPP 10:05 where I'm at...
  2. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 12:36 PM) Why wouldn't the Sox want to hold onto a perennial 30/30 guy? 30 caught stealing 30 errors ???
  3. "justice" will be done for Jose when the White Sox score some damn runs when he pitches. /s Kappa
  4. Man, those stats in the right column... I knew things were bad on the offensive side, but I didn't realize it was that bad....
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 07:13 AM) Or the point from the article (see below), that well-rounded players like Springer, Polanco and Marte lost out to bigger "name" guys like Carlos Beltran and CarGo. Pretty shocking Duval was picked, although they had to go with someone from CINCY and his stats look good on paper, especially for a youngster. Seems the players mostly or completely ignored the concept of WAR and advanced stats completely. CarGo is having a really f***ing good year.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 10:23 AM) The big question is whether Johnson, Tatis and the $25 million Sox commitment were agreed upon BEFORE the owner went off on him and he was shelled in Seattle for all those runs. If Hahn kept the deal on the table because it was a "gentleman's agreement" and didn't push to negotiate it down (again), he's an even bigger idiot than I previously thought. How much did that last week actually cost the Padres and Preller? Nothing? $5 million? $10 million? Considering Rick Hahn is "known" for his negotiating skillset, I highly doubt your scenario occurred. But what the f*** do I know... I've never negotiated with Hahn.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 28, 2016 -> 06:26 AM) Bobby Thigpen Damaso Marte Eddie Guardado Kelvin Herrera Greg Holland Wade Davis Ryan Madson Joakim Soria Dan Quisenberry Jeff Montgomery you forgot a few guys Jo Mama Heywood Jablome Suuk Madeek
  8. I think a part of the problem is that Frazier was brought in to "bring life" to the middle of the order hitting cleanup behind Abreu... when in reality on a playoff bound team, he would be hitting 5th or 6th. It speaks more to the lack of offensive production elsewhere on the order. Granted, he is having a WTF season, but I honestly think he'd be better off batting 5th or 6th, with a leftie thumper between he and Abreu.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 26, 2016 -> 05:02 PM) http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colum...625-column.html Paul Sullivan one of the first local Chicago media members to turn the accusing finger at Hahn. Holy f***ing s***, Paul Sullivan... it's June 27th.
  10. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 11:26 AM) This has to be a lie. He disagreed and argued with his boss so he must want to leave. I see what you did there.
  11. How many more one-inning/nine-run starts does Shields get before the Sox pull the plug?
  12. I'd pick Clayton Kershaw, but I know that our manager would find a way to f*** that up somehow, possibly by mistaking him as an outfielder and batting him second in the lineup.
  13. Is it just me or does James Shields' BBREF mugshot remind you of....... (that's Frank Walker, the Newspaper Editor from the movie Fletch)
  14. Its gotta be a White Sox thing. Beckham and Flowers are both hitting really well in Atlanta, albeit in bench roles.
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 23, 2016 -> 02:00 PM) No catcher reaches the majors in "a year or two". He'd be 3 or more years away, unless he changes position, which damages his value. "Sup bruh?"
  16. ...worked his ass off to get to the big leagues. Congrats to Paulo.
  17. "...lesson I learned from that? Don't f*** with the wrong people..." Jerry Reinsdorf and Kenny Williams agree.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 10, 2016 -> 09:48 AM) Petricka is not garbage. Petricka was one of the best non-closer relief pitchers in the game until this season. He is hurt. He'll come back and be fine. *fingers crossed*
  19. He had injury issues in the minors, was hurt during spring training and he hasn't been pitching as well this season. Wouldn't doubt if he was actually hurt.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 3, 2016 -> 06:51 PM) He already said no to AAA . He is going home to Nashville and collecting a $1.25 million check twice a month through September. I think Jordan Danks got released last month. Jordan Danks played for the Phillies last season. I wonder if he landed anywhere this season?
