Never had one take an hour, but I get computer-screened rejection e-mails less within 30 minutes of submitting an application all the time.

Sports Betting
Yes, I mean +6 and I fixed that. I want to make two bets because, while I have $500 available to bet, I want to limit my risk to $100 and maximize my potential winnings. I can win more by splitting $500 between two bets than by a single $100 bet. Plus, I really do think CAR wins by less than 6 so I like my chances of hitting both. It's essentially getting 4.25:1 odds that CAR wins by 1-5 points.

Sox should trade for Andre Ethier
I would do: vs RHP Eaton 8 Ethier 9 Abreu 3 Frazier 5 Melky 7 Laroche DH Lawrie 4 Avila 2 Saladino 6 vs LHP Eaton 9 Melky 7 Abreu 3 Frazier 5 Garcia DH Lawrie 4 Navarro 2 Shuck 8 Saladino 6

Sports Betting
I've been running pretty hot on Bovada poker recently. I have up to $500 I could put on the Super Bowl but want to limit my actual risk to $100. Looking at $285 on CAR to win at -210 and $215 on DEN +6 at -105. I can't lose both bets. If I win both, I profit $340. If I split, I lose $80. Or I could do $295 on CAR to win and $205 on DEN +6. If I win both, I profit $335. If CAR wins by more than 6, I lose $65, and if DEN wins I lose $100.

Sox should trade for Andre Ethier
I know Danks is a loss, but the gain from Ethier >> the loss from Danks, plus you get Ethier for two years.

Sox should trade for Andre Ethier
John Danks + Chris Beck for Andre Ethier + $3.75M in 2016, $1.75M in 2017 and $2.5M in 2018. Then go convince Mark Buehrle to pitch one more year.

Snake the draft for non-playoff teams. Worst record picks 1st in odd rounds but 20th in even rounds.

Yeah, those would both be excellent running mates for Rubio. If you're going to have a Senator as you Presidential candidate, I really like having a governor as VP.

A(not so?) Radical Idea: Employment as a right instead of a privilege
There are definitely things we can learn from Scandanavia and implement, education being probably the best example, but we can't jump full steam into their socialist economic system. It just wouldn't work.

Mark Buehrle
Was Mark ever really in anything resembling pitching shape???? We're talking about a position where CC Sabathia was once an ace and Bartolo Colon is still good.

That only holds true for people who claim to be Christians. You are supposed to confront fellow believers with their sins, but with nonbelievers you are to focus on the basic message of the faith. It's backwards to confront non-believers with their sins, because since they are non-believers they don't believe what they are doing is sin.

Wow, so apparently Cruz supporters were at best intentionally misleading, and at worst flat-out lying to Carson supporters in suggesting that he was quitting the race in order to get them to switch their support to Cruz.

FLINT, MICHIGAN
I think of it more along the lines of "worst" morally rather than "worst" scientifically. Like you said, back then most people didn't know better. I know you're a scientist but I'm just reminding you that "worst" can have other contexts.

To a certain extent, this is more what Christianity is about than conservative politicians spewing hate on TV. We are supposed to be having these conversations with people close to us, but not to the point that it's repetitive and makes people not want to be around us. If your family has had this conversation with you once or twice, then they should back off and leave it at, "if you ever have any questions, we're free to talk." Also, if they are having these conversations with you, then they better damn well be setting living examples of what they are preaching. Not to the extent of being perfect, because nobody is, but if the people having conversations with you are having problems with adultery, drugs, etc., then they really ought to be getting their own lives in order before preaching to you. Big reason why Christians are widely viewed as hypocrites. Also a big reason why politicians should not base their political beliefs on their faith. It's hard for your life's decisions to hold up under that kind of scrutiny. I have had a lot of ups and downs in my life and there have been times where I made it a point NOT to discuss religion because I knew I wasn't living what I would have been preaching.

Hillary was so super-popular with blacks in 2008 (and still is), only an actual black person could beat her. Bernie is not going to get the same momentum that Obama did.
