  1. it'd have to be a decent PTBN. i dont think viciedo/sanchez would be enough.
  2. could we have any shot at justin upton? viciedo/sanchez/reed for him? i have no idea, just throwing something out there, please dont flame me hahahaha
  3. he WILL manage again, just not in the immediate future.
  4. Konerko: (B) - great start, we all know what happened later Beckham: © - defensive got even better, flashes of hope with the bat especially late Youkilis: (C+) - brought some production to where we were hurting but wasnt that great Alexei: © - what happened to his bat? 5. they'll take another shot at it next year. too many commitments to not.
  6. we're one game out with 7 to go, chill out. we'll have all offseason to talk about this
  7. announcers are hired by a TEAM to do their games, many of which announcers have great ties to them team. ill never understand why people would want to bash hawk for his homerism, it makes games exciting and i love it.
  8. Not pointing at anyone specific but just the general thought, why is it so bad that we are in the AL central? If we were in the east, we would have been eliminated a couple weeks ago, being where we are allows to enjoy baseball right now. Sit back and relax to enjoy the ride, to whatever end. There are ten games left in the season, and we are in first. Who woulda thought.
  9. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 05:30 PM) Part of me thinks Hahn wouldn't take the promotion if he wasn't fully given the keys to the car. Why would he stick around when he's supposedly one of the top GM candidates in baseball, only to have Kenny pulling the strings for the big stuff like free agency and trades? Exactly my thoughts. I think KW may be burnt out and wants to take a step back.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 06:00 PM) Danks' bat is subpar or he'd be a starting OF in the major leagues. I disagree. He has a good approach at the plate and he has the talent, he is improving with each and every year. Did he change your opinion at all after tonight? Thanks for the walk-off! jordo! He is at least replacement level, and for a bench player that is great. I argue he may have the talent to start in a couple years.
  11. I highly disagree with your take on Danks. He has an par bat with plus speed and defense... Wise is AWFUL with the bat and shaky in the outfield minus a couple spectacular plays. Danks is not going anywhere, sorry.
  12. its july and we are 1.5 games out after just leading the division for 50+ days. far from out.
  13. i'd like anibal, and its likely we would not have to give up so much.
  14. sale hands down. it has gotten to the point you can pencil in a win everytime he pitches. if not sale, id say rios.
  15. if danks comes back and floyd is okay we would have one scary rotation with greinke. peavy/sale/greinke/danks/floyd yikes.
  16. Dunn is trying to stay on KC's good side unlike Cano.
  17. I saw a game once from the club level and did not like it. I did not get the same feel of atmosphere that I do in my normal seats and I would much rather the style of 100 level seats rather than club level. Site lines are good however.
  18. Has anyone heard anything about who will be pitching this weekend? I'm going on Friday and was curious.
  19. barnum- i like the way his swing looks. we need somewhat of a prospect at 1B in our system anyway. would have liked to see smoral though, shocked they didnt pick him considering they were looking at him for #13
  20. Churchill: Hawkins, blessed with plus bat speed and strength and good athleticism, has the upside of a 30-35 homer slugger. But he's rare in that he could also develop into .300 hitter who gets on base, drawing some comparisons to some of the better current outfielders in baseball, including Matt Kemp. He's an average runner, perhaps slightly above average, and he plays a good right field. Hawkins is a different type of player than what the White Sox have been on the past several years, but he may be their No. 1 prospect the second he puts pen to paper on a contract.
