  1. Will be interesting to see what Prokhorov does as only a few weeks ago he said that was it in regards to Melo, and he wasn't going to go after him anymore. 4 1st rounders is a lot, but they'll only give up one of their own from this year, 2 others that they own this year (thinks it's the Lakers and another playoff team) and then a future 1st in 2013. Melo will probably make them a playoff team, but they'll need to sign another star in the 2012 FA class like CP3 if they want to become a bonafide contender, and I'm not sure if they are going to be able to do that once a new hard cap comes in (and they'll have to dump some contracts like Travis Outlaw and Johan Petro etc.).
  2. Cavs are up by 5 over the Lakers @ HT. This could be quite amusing. Howard also has 30 and 8 midway thru the 3rd against the Wizards. Should go for 40+ at least.
  3. LOL at Gattuso. What an idiot. Only 2nd to Berlusconi in Italy ATM mind you. Saw this article, quite an interesting logic for those who want to pick a Premier League team to go for. As a West Ham fan, the Seahawks pick is interesting, although I would have gone with a more hapless team in a bigger market myself. http://www.thepostgame.com/commentary/2011...orts-franchises
  4. Hmmmm, interesting to say the least, although Sam Smith isn't exactly the most clued in guy when it comes to rumors;
  5. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) Who the f*** is arcade fire? Garbage. Take it you're not a fan of them or Indie Rock?
  6. Yep, that performance just showed what we're actually capable of if we play some good defense. Bit of a statement game from Howard to say the least as well.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 01:39 PM) Gar/Pax needs to talk to GS about Monta Ellis. And what would the Bulls give up to get Ellis? Rose?
  8. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 10:54 AM) As someone who literally watches just about every Wolves game (I only miss the non-televised road games), I'd say the myth that the Wolves run a triangle offense is vastly overhyped. I think the Wolves are certainly fine on the offensive side of things anyways, it's the defense which really causes them a lot of issues.
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 10:41 AM) I'm no basketball expert, but you can badmouth Kahn all you want to since it's the cool thing to do, there is a decent collection of talent in Minnesota right now. But does all that talent fit? You look at the players he's drafted for instance, Rubio and Flynn neither looks like a difference maker (Rubio is struggling more and more in Europe while Flynn obviously doesn't fit the triangle system). I will say he's done a decent job at bringing in Beasley for cheap, but that team just needs some direction and an actual desire to play some defense before they can go forward.
  10. If I was Glenn Taylor (Minny's Owner) I'd be doing all I can to bringing in Jerry Sloan and cleaning slate on Rambis and Kahn, would be interesting to see what that team would do with an actual decent head coach. But I hope this is the end for Jerry, his legacy is with Utah and it wouldn't be right IMO to see him coaching elsewhere.
  11. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 09:13 AM) I am still wondering how someone like Courtney Lee can be "overrated" Probably because he's gone from starting for a NBA Finals Team to being a bench guy for a non playoff team in 2 seasons. As I said before though, it's not his fault, he's just been the fall guy in bad situations really.
  12. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 09:09 AM) Activision just ran Guitar Hero into the ground. Yep it was all about Quantity over Quality in the the end, when you come out with so damn many sequels, it's no wonder. Hopefully Rock Band still keeps coming out though.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 03:26 AM) I don't like the idea of trading Asik for Lee. I think Lee is a lot overrated and Asik has some nice potential. Bigs like that don't grow on trees. He can rebound and play some solid defense and will be very valuable coming off the bench for the next few years. I think our best move out there is a deal for Melo centered around Taj & Deng (w/Deng going to another team for expirings which go back to Denver) plus draft picks. I think teams have noticed what Deng is doing and I think the Bulls can afford to move both of them if it means getting Melo back. Depends if the Bulls would rather give up a guy like James Johnson for Anthony Parker, who you're pretty much only acquiring for the playoff run, or to trade Asik for a guy like Lee who's still very young and someone who can probably be a starter for you for quite a long time. I'm a fan of Lee, for a rookie he played very well in that Orlando team that made the playoffs, he's got good size for a SG at 6'5, got decent 3PT range, and most importantly, he's a defense first type of player. He's just been in 2 bad situations since Orlando, playing for a Nets team that was just awful, and then being moved to Houston where he's stuck behind Kevin Martin. He'd been an instant upgrade over Bogans that's for sure.
  14. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 05:03 PM) http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ss...ies_his_co.html Batum defendes Rose's defense. Surprisingly, Rose plays Dwill and CP3 back to back. Rose really owned DWill down the stretch tonight. If he can do the same to CP3, I expect the best PG in the league debate to heat up again soon. IIRC, D-Will really shouldn't be playing with that wrist injury of his right now, but that team is just bad without him. My guess is, he'll be bolting to greener pastures in 2012 FA.
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 01:17 PM) Did Utah offer Boozer the same contract the Bulls did? Otherwise i don't get the boos Well if so, that means he turned down that deal to join another team for the same salary, so no wonder they're booing him for that (and also because he sucked so many times in the playoffs against the Lakers probably).
  16. That's a very interesting trade to say the least. Frolik was a former big time prospect, and he's actually having a pretty decent season. Tallon obviously must have loved Skille and wanted to bring him back on board. As first glance, if Salak turns out to be anything like Niemi was, I think it's a very good trade for Chicago.
  17. You should do PR for David Kahn Felix. Magic beat the Clippers tonite, Dwight had 20-20 game, but the outside guys continue to disappoint, especially Hedo who's really strugglin shootin wise playing with a back injury currenty.
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 9, 2011 -> 03:33 PM) It's about Shipps' penis. It works. Congrats! That's awesome. There's Jimmie Johnson's next TV ad for you right there...

  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 01:27 AM) The last few years haven't really raised the bar. I miss Springstein's camera hitting balls. Whenever I think Superbowl HT Show, that's the 1 image that's always gonna be stuck in my mind.
