Oh I thought you were talking about Diego Suarez after his 2 goals, my bad. If you're a defensive midfielder like Perez, that sort of energy / stamina is the #1 must for that position basically.

QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 04:09 PM) I'd love to get Pietrus. I'd say if Bulls fans on here got annoyed at John Salmons for the 1st half of this season, they'd probably develop the same sort of feeling for Pietrus FWIW.

Suarez that is. He'll go to Tottenham for $15-20M straight after the World Cup that is.

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 04:33 AM) I was hoping the Hawks would take Etem....but they go off the board for a damn HS player...who is about 4yrs away from playing....but they know better than I do. From what I read, he had more potential than most around that spot, but obviously we won't see him for a few years minimum. And the Hawks have enough forwards right now obviously that they can wait for a prospect as talented as him.

Summer Drinks
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 01:47 AM) Yeah, I've had Hoegarden... I think I'm just not as big a booze snob as you, Jim...and there is nothing wrong with that - we all have our hobbies/obsessions. Give me something cold and wet and I'm pretty happy as long as there is some nice scenery, some solid tunes, and a decent breeze. I had a Hoegarden right after a Stella when I was at a pub watching the England vs Slovenia game the other day, and I much preferred Blue Moon actually. Hoegarden was too sweet / fruity for my liking.

Whats your Summer Attire?
I've always been a t-shirt and shorts man when it's anything close to warm weather. Usually go for flip flops if I'm near the beach, otherwise it's probably slip on runners that I'd wear. I never understood those guys who had to wear jeans in summer. Maybe they have similar psychological issues to Johnny Drama with the size of their calves or something.

Lewis already plays the 4, and there's people who think he needs to go back to the 3 and Bass needs to start at 4. After drafting Orton at 29, I'd love to get a Deng for Pietrus and Gortat deal, would give us a good scoring option and rebounder. But there's big rumors we're going to deal VC for Hinrich, Al Thornton and Randy Foye which is intriguing to say the least. I still have pipedreams of a CP3 for Nelson, VC + something deal though.

Insane tennis match. Isner v. Mahut
I was at Wimbledon today, and watched Isner for the first set and a bit. He had absolutely nothing left in the tank. Could hardly run around the court and was serving only basic 100MPH serves. Got a really nice ovation as he came out though.

Ghana weren't impressive when they played Aussie at all. I think US should take that game, but they need to play better than they did against Algeria obviously.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 11:30 PM) If you had some chirashi sashimi to go along with it that would be a perfect evening. I got mini hamburgers, chicken on a stick, prawns on a stick pretty much. I#m pretty wasted to give a s*** though.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 11:01 PM) You seem very confident that Australia will beat Serbia. We'll see. Tomorrow is a huge day for me. I terribly excited and also quite nervous. Not confident but I think we are finally due some luck in this tournament, which we've basically had not much of so far. I think it'll be a low scoring game in any case.

Maggette to MIL for Gadzuric and Bell. Probably a good sign that John Salmons isn't returning.

The Nets will sign Lee and draft Wesley Johnson I'd say. They've soured on Favors the past few days. Will screw up Minny's draft plans though.

Official 2010 World Cup Thread
So tomorrow's certainly going to be quite a big day. The England and US games are on at 3PM here, so I'll be in a pub with a few mates which I'm sure will be absolute jampacked, and then I got invited to a private screening of the Australia vs. Serbia game at a Wine Bar with free drinks so it doesn't get much better than that. England and US both to qualify, Australia to win and Ghana and Germany to both qualify.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 06:32 PM) Oberon or Blue Moon for beer. Jack Daniels/Hennessey/Courvousier + Coca Cola is great year round. I love Blue Moon, can't get enough of that stuff.

Summer Drinks
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 02:20 PM) Whenever I was in England before, it always seemed like everyone drank those fruity alco-pops, even guys. Those things are so sweet too, I can barely finish one. I'm a sucker for the Leinie's Summer Shandy. Yeah those alco-pops are still pretty big here from what I've seen.
