I watched Ravenous earlier today (and it's coicidentally on IFC in half an hour). Great film for anyone who enjoys a blend of horror and black comedy.

It's about time one team sweeps the other in two separate series. Sox win all six. Obviously, there's no legitimate reason for feeling this. It'd just seem appropriate the Cubs begin their downfall after we embarrass them.

That is, were scouts with extensive knowledge of players responsible for the first several picks, and maybe, Williams just pushed his opinion past the others in the 6th round? Or maybe Williams has a lot more say than we may believe. Either way, it doesn't seem like the best decision to make for your ballclub. I may not know much about players past the first round, but I'm fairly sure Williams Jr is not the 180th best draft available player.

Later on, I could give two craps because the deeper into the draft the far different each teams draft board is going to look. So, how would you grade our selections today? Overall, that is.

Uh oh, isn't Cashner the pitcher who teams were thinking could be converted into a front line starter? It'd love to have additional selections for just this reason. You'd never take Cashner around our slot, but around 15-20 you can take a risk that he's either a great reliever or possible convert.
