WTF CUB FANS
I'll be damned. The person directly to the right of the drunken goof is a classmate of mine at UIC. You can see the 'Illinois' peaking out of the sweater. I'll have to show him this s***.

TUNE INTO COMCAST SPORTS NET NOW!!!!!!!
I heard this suggestion last offseason. Nothing happened. Sox fans deserve to b**** until management makes a move.

TUNE INTO COMCAST SPORTS NET NOW!!!!!!!
Dan Jiggets made sure to include a dig about fans running on the field to KW. The discussion was about an Eagles security official knocking over a referee, to which Jiggets said, " I know I won't ask you about that Kenny, with all the problems you've had with fans interfering." I realize it was in good nature, but I would love to hear Jiggets bring up Chicago Tribune scalpers or fans throwing trash on field to Hendry.

Look at ME! Look at ME!
Basketball practice broke out in the joyous celebration of jealous Cub fans. Seattle had swept the White Sox, but I wasn't too disappointed. I reassured myself the Sox had taken over Cleveland Indian's reign of the ALC and would dominate the division for years to come. We all know how that turned out.

Would anyone give a minor league contract to ELO?
I'm certain his future with the White Sox is nonexistent. While Loaiza won't command 8 million, he is bound to recieve an extended contract from a team willing to take a chance on a former 20 game winner. San Diego Padres have been mentioned in the past as a possible suitor. On a completely seperate notion, I have a hard time stomaching the re-signing of players on our previous years team. There are better options available on the market for bullpen or starting rotation help than the Zesty One.

Growing up Gotti
Coincidentally I caught two episodes late last night. Victoria Gotti earns my regards for running a family of three egoinflated, spolied guidos. I love how she managed to reference the death of her younger brother, whom was accidentally run over outside their estate. Know what fate was granted upon the neighbor responsible for the death of the 'Great Gambino's' son? He was kidnapped outside a Manhattan restaurant, chain-sawed to death, and thrown inside a car before it was smashed to the size of a small cube.

Red Cubs Look Like Shit
You're right. His delivery is quick; no wasted motion. I'll tell you what, KW sure swindled Cashman on the trade. We're attempting to correct Contreras' tendency to tip pitches, while Loaiza is shouldering the burden of a ALCS championship. Doesn't matter how he did during the final stretch, Esteban is stepping up during a crucial time for the Yanks. In addition to his great performance tonight he should have several more K's. Umps have squeezed him on several pitches.

Red Cubs Look Like Shit
God damn Yankees. If Aaron Rowand were in this game he would have hit several HR's off Wakefield. :headshake Bottom of the 14th, Esteban remains the Yankees only hope.

Red Cubs Look Like Shit
Do Tony Clark and Miguel Cairo bat every inning? These guys must have body doubles. Its as if they've taken the place of Matsui/Rodriguez in the lineup.

Red Cubs Look Like Shit
Wakefield continues to baffle Yankee hitters. Disgraceful. Sierra hits a single New York is ahead. Instead, he swings like a b**** and strikes out. Loaiza will implode eventually.

Red Cubs Look Like Shit
Houston - Cardinals. I forsee Yankees scratching across a run, followed by a Loaiza implosion in the bottom half of the inning which extends the game.
-
Red Cubs Look Like Shit
Loaiza gaining strenth. Last pitch at 93 mph. I hope this increase in velocity doesn't create a thread suggesting Sox reacquire him.
-
Red Cubs Look Like Shit
This is f***ing ridiculous. Yankees are becoming overmatched by the likes of Aroyo, Embree, and Wakefield yet have no problems scoring off Martinez.

Red Cubs Look Like Shit
Not yet BROTHER. Esteban enduces an inning ending double play. Yanks don't pull across a run right here Boston will win. I just don't see Esteban fooling Ramirez/Ortiz unless there's a two run cushion to work with.

Red Cubs Look Like Shit
Trouble abrewing here in the 11th inning. Two aboard, 0 outs, Caveman Damon up. EDIT: 1 out. Moron popped the bunt to Posada. Loaiza entering the game in replacement of Quantrill. Yanks are f***ing screwed.

Sleeping Habits
I agree with the noise factor when falling asleep. Since my backyard borders on a busy street I've become accustomed to sounds of traffic. Traveling to my aunts cottage in Tennessee the last several years it's amazing how eerie silence of the country can get. You jump at every crack of the branch and rustle of leaves, as if someone was outside the window.

Favorite Trick Or Treat Memory...
My favorite memory of Halloween doesn't involve costumes or trick-or-treating, but the utter and pointless destruction of an entire town. 1997, sixth grade, my friends and I spent Friday night TPing houses of enemies, throwing eggs at cars (I know...), and starting shaving cream wars with random people. The Warriors we were; 15 strong. It was a glorious Halloween.

Watching FOX pan over the Fenway faithful is priceless. Tonight, If anyone happens to come across a picture of a Red Sox fan crying I'd appreciate it.

WHat about Derek Lowe??
He fails to shoulder blame upon himself - like Jon Garland. Is a victim of 'big innings' and unrealistic expectations - like Jon Garland. Earlier in the season Lowe called the Boston media to his locker and used the term "mental gidget" to describe the media's feelings towards himself. I ultimately agree with Punch; three potential underachieving headcases on our pitching staff is too much to endure.

*Official* College Basketball Thread
UIC's inaugural game will be quite the dousy this year against an ACC powerhouse. We will open up against last season's national runner-up, Georgia Tech, at UIC Pavilion on Monday, November 22nd, at 7:00 p.m. With non conference, road matchups against DePaul (twice) and Duke there's three automatic losses on the schedule. /awaits 15 seed

Kobe accuser reveals ID
The 'innocent' girl dropping criminal charges against Kobe didn't help her credibility either. "OH...MY...GOD I'm so, like, emotionally and physically traumatized from the rape. (Lawyer whispers in ear) So if Kobe is found guilty I don't get any money?! I don't care about preserving justice, lets take this to civil court and run him dry."

Red Cubs Look Like Shit
Browsing the Red Sox MLB message board I came across this hilarious post. This rant (insert Cubs in place of Red Sox) is awfully familiar to the troubles we face with our North Side neighbors. .

Mike Lowell to be traded?
No more midseason acquisitions. If White Sox were to address problems during the offseason instead of waiting until midseason (after guaging their position in the standings, then coughing up prospects) our weak system wouldn't be so diminished. I understand you can't anticipate injuries/poor performance before the beginning of the season (which may lead to a midseason trade), but the Sox enter EVERY season with numerous glaring holes. I'd rather have a bonafide stud completing our rotation then Diaz/Grilli filling the 5th spot, and hoping KW makes a trade around the ASB if "we're in contention." KW continues this midseason approach and GM's will feast on his aggressiveness, impatience. I've had nightmares picturing what KW would have given up for Randy Johnson.

Kobe accuser reveals ID
Why not? As Dabears stated its his opinion. I'm not rushing to defend what he said, but the right to say it. How else could he have expressed himself without appearing "too b****y?"

Mike Lowell to be traded?
Our town wouldn't be excited? Chicago media bias aside, the acquisitions of two quality FA's will overshadow any developments of our North Side neighbords. (Barring a substantial move from "The Magician" Jim Hendry) April/May attendance is usually dismal due to terrible weather and a history of slow starts. Signing Radke and Beltran during the offseason would give the White Sox a tremendous opportunity to win 'out the gate,' and possibly draw fans who might have been hesistent to attend early games in years past. Similiar to the appeal of a new ballpark, signing quality FA's will only draw fan attention for so long. There's no doubt winning will fill the park, but you can't ignore the implications a successful offseason will have on attendance. Above all other logic, signing those two in particular (although improable) fill our need for a coveted OBP player with Speed/Defense/Power, and a pitcher to push Judy to his rightful position.
