  1. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) I need some help this weekend, guys... Rudi Johnson vs. Houston, @ Cincy. Caddy Williams vs. Detroit sucks, @ TB. Portis vs. Seattle, @ Washington. I'm 99% sure that Williams will be a lock to start for me, but all three of these look like they could do extremely well. And I'm leaning towards Portis as my other back, if for no other reason than he's been pretty reliable... But looking at the stats, in two games (small sample size, I know), Houston is giving up 140+ yards per game, and Detroit is giving up over 115 ypg. Seattle is at 108. This is a tough call, and suggestions? don't even bother keith, might as well just hand me the W
  2. I'd say we played better than iowa in the first half. A few long drives capped by complete brain cramps. We had our chance, didn't come through.
  3. i'm so glad this isn't my job, this is some tough stuff to decide. but as some already said. marte? viz? i'd rather have duque on than either of those 2 guys.
  4. what a crazy, intriguing, unique game this was. cleveland had everything int he world to play for and they just couldn't put up the runs, wow..........and we thought we had it bad
  5. poor indians fans. they gotta be flipping out right about now

  8. greasy is taking his life savings out of the bank right now.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 06:06 PM) That's what I basically do now. I got most of their autographs, so last year I waited for a few of the new guys(scotty, dye, aj) and then I just went to all the seminars. Seminars are by far the best part imo. Fun stuff. Maybe this year I'll meet up with some of you guys. definitely should. last year it was a bunch of soxtalk guys, thsi year it will probably be even more, awesome time.
  10. Of the 3 possible teams we play, i can see a reason for us winning and a reason for us losing. Doesn't really matter to me. If anything, i'd want it to be bosox/yankees, because of the whole west coast thing.
  11. But yeah, a bunch of us did soxfest last year and it's a real good time, especially if you go with people that are as much into the sox as you. I'm not a big autograph guy so I didn't do any of that. I got a bunch of discounted sox stuff, went to a few seminars, and just had a real good weekend of some much needed baseball in january.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) Pssh, you don't have to be 21 to stay at the hotel. or be in a hotel bar ....i just opened up a can of worms
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) Who? the red sox
  14. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) Who would be better motivated to give it all they got in today's game? 7 bench players who are fighting for a playoff spot and possibly a spot on next year's roster or 7 regulars who know they're on the playoff roster and just clinched the division yesterday? Honestly, I think this lineup might give us the best chance to win. ^ that's my line of thinking. and hey, give the boys a rest, they deserve it.
  15. anyone else really excited to see this game and see some of these guys play? i know i am.
  16. if you're going to give everyone a day off, it should be today. they're all hungover.

  18. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 09:28 AM) Even though it was a long time ago the Garland pitch to Tejada is still my favorite moment of the season. He threw him a change up inside and tejada totally missed it. Also I dont care if it was last season I still remember the Loaiza Angels game when willie ran over franky rodriguez and Timo hit the game winning hit. the look on garland's face afte rthe strikeout was what made it so special. Puts his head down, walks back, crowd erupts. What an awesome moment that was. As for me, i have an awful memory for these things, so the only one that wasn't already said was the 6/19 game against the dodgers on my birthday. I was in the bleachers and i believe we were down 3-1 or something in the 8th, arow comes through with a clutch bloop single, we pull it out.
  19. yeah, the whole day/night thing is really going to be a pain in the ass for alot of people. if you're looking to buy tickets, i'm sure there will be a ton going around because people won't be able to make a day/night game.
  20. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) Unless there's a one game playoff, Monday will be a very long day. monday will be the day i do an entire week's worth of work, because i will be missing many,many classes next week
