40% of Cleveland’s current rotation is Konnor Pilkington and Cody Morris. McKenzie has already eclipsed his career high in IP by 25 innings, and Quantrill has also passed his career high already and made 18 pen appearances last year. So yes, Cleveland is very much in that spot already, Not soon. Not to mention Francona is using his best pen arms nearly every night which also isn’t sustainable.

Yeah, makes it so Cease, Lynn and Gio all go against Cleveland next week.

That’s be Cleveland going 5-1 against Halos and Twins coming up. Gotta hope the Twins can at least get 2/5. Need help from them, and ideally Angels tomorrow.

I’ll enjoy it. This is what it’s all about. Hope to be happy at the end.

Absolutely have to get rid of Abreu, in fact. And he doesn’t have many bigger fans than I.

Sox have to win 3/4 vs Cleveland and go 11-6 or better in their other 17 games if Cleveland goes 10-10 or worse rest of season against non Sox teams. It’s doable, but it absolutely starts with sweeping Rox, beating Cleveland Thursday and getting at worse 2/3 in Detroit this weekend. Then you at least control your destiny with 3 at home vs. Cleveland next week with the chance to pass them.

9/13 vs. Rockies 710CT - Kopech v. Kuhl: A New Streak Starts
You’re paying him regardless. He’s a major league player and quite useful on a roster full of dudes that can’t stay healthy. There is O% chance he is DFAd, and it would be a god awful move.

9/13 vs. Rockies 710CT - Kopech v. Kuhl: A New Streak Starts
Why in the world would you DFA pollock? Makes no sense. You’re paying him anyway and he absolutely rakes LHP, is a perfect Colas platoon partner and great injury insurance for the roster.

Yes. Its also 3 games (4 with tie breaker that we haven't lost just yet), not 5 games.

Tim Anderson out 4-6 weeks with torn ligament in his hand
Things have been awfully quiet on the Tim front. Starting to think he may not be returning this season. I do know he is scheduled to visit a hand specialist today, which hopefully will clear him for baseball activities. But regular season ends three weeks from tomorrow - is there enough time?

May as well make it 9 at that point and including the Cleveland series. ?

Yep. 5-1 or better week including W @ CLE is badly needed. Should be 1 game back or better heading into that huge series next week with that. Anything short of that will definitely require a sweep of Cleveland next week.

9/13 vs. Rockies 710CT - Kopech v. Kuhl: A New Streak Starts
Need another really good week. 5-1 honestly. Gotta start with both against the Rox, and then likely head to Cleveland 2 GB to play the biggest game of the year Thursday afternoon. Hopefully all with Tony not around.

TLR out for the year
This is our best hope. Hopefully he's just flying back to Chicago to gather his things, and we get an announcement from Tony today that the everyday grind is just too much for him at his advanced age.

Which he without a doubt should be moving forward. Requires that tough decision on Pito/AV, but such is the situation the Sox made for themselves.
