I like Laz Rivera's demeanor in the box. Looks like he knows what he's doing and very comfortable.

Personally I'd give him a ton of run in CF and hope he gets off to a hot start and can trade him for something interesting. But I think Engel is going to be the guy in CF 5/7 games.

The minimal value Leury has is the fact that he can play multiple positions. As an OF only, he's worthless.

I’d be surprised if the Sox don’t break camp with Rondon. The alternative is to lose him off waivers.

Sounds like he is behind schedule. Banuelos is out of options. Makes sense for the Sox to roll with Banuelos to start and see if they have anything and let Santana get some reps in AAA first (assuming his contract allows for that). Could always just put Banuelos in the pen over someone like Frare as well.

These two will rival the Sox: Mancini, Mullins, Rickard Granderson, Brinson, Peter OBrien

I think he's supposed to be ready in early May.

1. Jerry Distant 2nd. KW for talking out of his ass 3rd. Hahn for telling all of us he wouldn't add stopgaps, and then proceeds to add half a 25 man of stopgaps and not add a single meaningful player to our core.

I live over 400 miles from Chicago, so its hard for me to show my disappointment. I usually make it to Chicago for one series, and attend every game I can when the Sox are in town here in Minneapolis. I will most certainly not be making it to Chicago this season. It won't make any difference, but its the least I can do. I am a Sox addict, so I will likely still watch 140+ games, and attend all the games I can when the Sox are in town (doesn't help the Sox at all). But the organization will not be getting a dime of my money this season.
