  1. Regarding Rodon, if I were Rick Hahn, I would approach him about a long-term extension. I know that his agent is Scott Boras but Boras did secure an extension for Steven Strasburg, who has been more injury prone than Rodon throughout the course of his career. The Sox do need to start keeping some guys around and signing Rodon to a team friendly extension also makes him more valuable.
  2. Another guy to follow is Gianluca Dalatri
  3. A big part of me was hoping that they would cut an under slot deal with a prep player like Jordan Groshans for example and go crazy in the following rounds but I don’t know how well that strategy works when you don’t have comp/sandwich picks
  4. http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/college/big-12/texas-christian-university/article212457789.html Sound like he's pretty set on going to TCU and that it would take a big offer.
  5. Really think John Rocker would consummate outside his race?
  6. Pretty sure, he's going to school. Same with Rocker
  7. I figured as much because I read that Madrigal didn't go to the Phillies was because he wasn't willing to cut a deal and sign below slot.
  8. To appears to me that Hostetler has been building the foundation of this org with college players who are high floor guys with advanced OBP skills. Now that they have the foundation, I would like to see the Sox go for more upside. Take more athletes with higher ceilings. I know that might scare some White Sox fans but the old regime (Laumann/Bell) is no longer scouting for the team and there’s a new development staff in place.
  9. What a way to go out for Doug Laumann.
  10. I would lean one too. The sox really need athletes and they have a few guys similar to Beer already.
  11. Sorry was really bust and couldn't provide a good in depth answer but I feel like those guys have a higher upside, which was what I meant. India was the position player in arguably the best conference in college baseball. Kelenic could be a five tool guy in center with a good sense of feel at the plate. Liberatore can command his stuff, throws left-handed and has a projectable body that should add more velocity as he matures. Stewart: (See Curveball) Swaggerty: Is ironing out a new swing according to Fangraphs and Keith Law. I wouldn't count him out to significantly, he was considered a top-five guy not too long ago.
  12. I shouldn't have said 1-15 but 6-15. There seem to be fewer questions marks in that range of players. Kelenic, India, Stewart, Kowar, Swaggerty, Liberatore, Scott to name a few. To me, those guys seem like they have fewer question marks about them.
