  1. Alek Thomas is a first round lock
  2. In this draft, I’d rather be picking 10-15 than 1-5.
  3. Yeah, there’s definitely some fatigue going on and I think a large portion of that stems from the divisive reaction from TLJ. There was a lot of bad press too. I think that they should’ve pushed Solo back to escape the negative conversations surrounding the film. Hopefully after IX, we get a Star Wars film every two or three years. I think they’ll wait at least a decade to do X, XI and XII. Leaving us the spin offs and the trilogies from Rian Johnson and the Game Of Thrones dudes And why does everyone have to be white? I’m sick of hearing white people say that’s they’re not being represented. That’s the biggest crock of shit that I’ve ever heard. The Galaxy is ever expanding, I’m sure it’s super diverse and I credit for Disney for making sure the cast for their Star Wars films reflects that of the world we live in. More studios and filmmakers should take note. In regards to China, I wonder if Disney/Lucasfilm will try to develop a project that is specifically geared towards Chinese audiences. Paramount did that what Transformers and it made them a lot of money.
  4. I guess Solo takes place before Rebels. That one guy is huge crime lord and plays a really big role in Clone Wars and Rebels.
  5. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/star-wars-boba-fett-movie-is-happening-james-mangold-direct-1113273 Boba Fett will be directed by James Mangold
  6. I can stomach blowouts but this was hard to watch and had to turn it off. I know that Castillo is still under contract but the Sox should consider taking another stab at the catcher position this winter.
  7. Solo is good, I really enjoyed it. While I think Last Jedi is a bad movie due to its terrible execution, I love what it tried to do with the mythology. That being said I think Solo is a good palette cleanser for people who didn't like Last Jedi and wanted something more traditional. I really loved the underworld that the film presented. Hopefully, it is explored more in other anthology films. And this is easily the best shot Star Wars film since Disney bought Lucasfilm, maybe in the entire franchise. You can always tell what was reshoot in a movie (Justice Leauge, Fant4stic) but nothing stood out until the very end of the movie. Alden Ehrenreich was pretty good in it. I had a huge problem with him being cast because he doesn't really look like Harrison Ford but my friend told me to think of it as him playing Han Solo and not as him playing Harrison Ford and that made me come around. The movie also has possibly the coolest, vibe-y scene in any Star Wars film.
  8. True But if you need a steroid to treat a sickness or an physical ailment (I believe that was case for Quintana) then there should be a process for guys to take what they need to get healthy.
  9. Seriously Players who get caught using performance enhanincing drugs should be banned for life. Give the guys an off-season to get clean and implement that policy.
  10. It seems like the college slugger is always the safest pick in the draft.
  11. Thank God Yolmer struck out. I didn't want to hear another anti sabremetric rant from this kook. I'm sick of Hawk
  12. Someone told me that Fox’s television output will now reflect the views of its news division. So Last Man Standing and Tim Allen (a vocal GOP supporter) should feel right at home.
  13. Scored tickets to see My Bloody Valentine. I've been listening to Loveless non stop recently
  14. Here is a really good write up on Joey Bart from the Detroit Free Press. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/columnists/jeff-seidel/2018/05/17/detroit-tigers-joey-bart-fine-catch-no-1-mlb-draft/615256002/
  15. Joey Bart. Kiley said that he expects him to be a fast riser too since he is so polished.
  16. Witchita State website lsit Alec Bohm at 6'5 and 220 lbs
  17. Right now I’m kind of hoping for Joey Bart. He’s the most advanced catcher to enter the draft since Wieters in 2007. He calls him own games (apparently Will Bannefield does too as a high schooler) and is very advanced behind the plate. He could be a fast riser through the system because unlike Zack Collins, he already knows how to catch. And unlike Collins, he’ll projects as a catcher long term. Everyone is saying that he’ll never hit for a high average but the power is real and he’s improved his plate disclipine when looking at his numbers. It seem more often than not, the teams who win in October are strong behind the plate.
  18. I prefer Stewart because he has a 70/80 pitch in his curveball and he has better stuff than Liberatore, who is probably a better pure pitcher.
  19. Atlanta just capped off an all time great season of TV
  20. Not a movie but there's no TV thread. Atlanta just capped off an all-time great season of TV
